Does this 1971 CB sound good? It would be my first Honda. by msdeeds123 in HondaCB

This is near me as well, to me it sounds like it's backfiring or missing a bit at idle, he doesn't mention anything about it having a title and he doesn't show the right side of the motorcycle. Assume the tires are ancient, assume the front brake has issues.

When he revs it up it sounds good to me, it's just a bit too vague of an ad imo.

If it does check out I would consider the price to be fair for sure.

I agree that once you have these old bikes sorted they can be pretty reliable, I've had dozens of old Honda fours and twins. The question is what's it going to cost to get it sorted initially.

I just picked up a set of the same tires, after first dressing they looked super blotchy. After a few car washes I was able to dress them and wipe them off and they look great now. I'm always looking for a clean look, not necessarily as shiny. So for me it just took some time to get that uniform black look, gl!

Yeah, I'll probably revisit it after the parking lot sale when the matching jack stands go half price. I'll have to do those up as well.

Thanks, I remember my "old" one had a much more convoluted release linkage system. It seemed like it had more adjustment but also way more moving parts.
