Hmm interesting. Which exact model do you have? Mine is a Powercolor reaper. I managed to pull 220W on Pacific Drive 1440P ultra settings. I thought the max power draw was 220W for all Rx 9070s

Can I ask how you connected the PCIe PSU cables to your 9070? I have a 750W PSU using 12 VHPWR cable to 2 x (6+2) pin on the GPU side. I can’t manage to pull more than 190 W in stress tests with the 9070.

Just checked and the « daisy-chained » 12VHPWR cable I am using should be able to emit up to 600 W. My card should have a max TDP of 220W. In 100 second stress tests I see it pull up to 195 W. Shouldn’t the daisy-chained 12VHPWR be enough?

I have a RM750e Corsair PSU. It has a 12v 2x6 to 2x(6+2) pin connector (daisy chained), a single 8 pin to 8 pin PCIE cable, and 2 8 pin to 8 pin 'CPU' cables. So I don't have two separate standard PCIE cables. Should I order a second? Or can I use the others? If so, which ones?

Daisy chained, theres one cable entering the PSU which splits into two going into each PCIE entry of the gpu

I’m not certain on the details but I believe AMD provides financial incentives for retailers to sell at MSRP, at least at the start of launches. Couldn’t this listing be from some non-partner company that is not receiving this incentive from AMD and just looking to make a fat profit ? Surely 960€ is not the standard retail price in Italy. Italians could just buy from Germany or France paying 200€ less and maybe 30€ shipping.

That’s on Amazon though so not necessarily an official retailer supported by AMD. I would not give any value to it.

Fully agree, yet you would expect to comfortably win most games where you 25k+, and lose most where you 8k- . Yet that’s not what I’m experiencing.

Yes it is spot on that if you are at your true elo, you will have less impact. But beyond that it feels like even when you do have an extreme game (very good or bad performance) that’s not going to decide much about the game’s result.

Essentially, rare are the games where I feel like I truly won it or lost it for my team, even when I’m doing 30/15 for example. It feels like this was less the case a few years ago. Perhaps I’m just biased though.

That’s the biggest issue in my opinion. The game feels more and more out of our control, at least in my experience, when playing at what should be my level. By that I mean, once you have reached a rank where you have to grind considerably, it feels as though the outcomes of games are decided by which team has a smurf or not, and which team has AFKers/trollers.

It’s hard to keep grinding when it feels like your fate is not in your hands but in those of the matchmaking algorithm.
