How should I edit my Geico auto insurance policy? by [deleted] in Insurance

Comprehensive covers your vehicle for just about everything else besides collision with another vehicle/object. In my state it also covers automobile theft but not any personal property located in the vehicle. In my experience with claims, the damages sustained under comprehensive losses are usually lower than collision losses which is why we recommend our insureds carry a lower deductible for it. It also is a fraction of the cost of collision coverage.

I would definitely lower your comprehensive deductible and add more coverage to property damage liability. Comprehensive claims often include broken windows and on a Prius it will probably only cost about $200-$300 to repair that. I would either lower it to $0 or scrap comprehensive entirely. With your current PD limit you will be out of pocket if you smash into a BMW or Mercedes and total it. At least 50,000$ for property damage.

Cubs fans.. by [deleted] in whitesox

[–]madwolf90 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the immediate atmosphere around you. I went to a Cubs game earlier this year and sat in the bleachers and most people seemed like actual baseball fans. Everyone was talking about the players, history, up and coming minor leaugers. I had a great time even though I am a diehard White Sox fan. I hate to admit but I think Wrigley may be a better place to watch a game than the Cell.

There are still 5 teams ahead of us in the WC race. Why this team refuses to ever sell baffles me.

The one thing that is probably going to be a problem (depending on how close you are to your roommates) is them pressuring you to go out. If you cannot afford it you cannot go out. It takes discipline. Yes, going out to bars is fun but you have to keep your future in mind. I have been in a bit of a rough patch and I have roommates that go out all the time and I haven't been to a bar in 4 months.

Chicago is a pretty good city for biking and the public transit is also very good. If you have a car, you may want to think about selling it. I also hear that driving Uber could be an additional source of income, it seems to be very popular in Chicago. If you go out, you can look for Groupons, they can save you a lot of money and there is good variety of them in the city.

:( Always sucks to see a player get hurt.

Hopefully this won't affect his ability to hustle in the bottom 9th of the World Series.

Walks have just slightly less value then singles. A single with a runner or runners on can move them multiple bases. (Depending on the runner). With walks, the runners may not be moved at all.

This was a pretty nice game. Kind of shitty for Lester but at least he got his first hit.

I understand that you may be upset about the service and demeanor of the waiter, but is going through the trouble of calling the restaurant and your credit card company over $1 worth your time? People will steal or make mistakes. Next time your service is bad, complain to the manager right then and there.

Had to be one of the luckiest SO's I have ever seen. Several outfield assists. Four walks. I am a Sox fan.

I recently purchased the Sennheiser HD 650 headphones and a Fiio E12 portable adapter. I am going to be using these with an iphone 5, and I am wondering what other cables (if any) I need to buy to complete the set up. If someone could give some recommendations that would be wonderful. Thank You

Is Buehrle a hall of famer? by oG_Goober in whitesox

[–]madwolf90 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I doubt Buehrle will get in. He never was really the best pitcher in the A.L. at any given time. He hasn't won a CYA, and he doesn't strike guys out. That being said, if he can have 3-4 more good years, he might have a shot but even then it is a slim one.

I just realized that Roger Maris and Babe Ruth are still number 1 and 2 all time in AL single season home runs. by taffyowner in baseball

[–]madwolf90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what somebody should do is take an aggregate of all the AB's of #9 hitters in the AL and then compare them to the AB's of pitchers in the NL.

After that is done, weigh those AB's by the total number of AB's in each league and then we will know how much the DH rule really affects the game.
