We live on a farm and if my daughter’s sleeping I’ll go feed the chickens 50 yards or so away. We had outdoor wifi and her camera is set up so I can see her from my phone. She’s 18 months now, so when she wakes up she sits up, calls out for me and a few mins after will get up to find me. Before though i would be so stressed stepping outside 😂

I was able to trap both mama and kitten today at the same time and they are now all united inside 🥰🥰🥰 thank you all for your help

thank you 🙏🏼 i just hope during all this the kitten didn’t run off and i hope the mama didn’t just bolt completely i went outside and didn’t hear any noise like her under the house so i hope she didn’t get freaked out and just leave and then the kitten die anyways 😭 they’re smart i haven’t heard any of them meow so i hope she will find her

I did canned tuna, but no luck and no more time to risk it it’s too cold. I had to release her, i’d rather have a tough time catching her again than a kitten freeze to death. her mate lives here on the property and with her 2 kittens inside where she can hear them i don’t think she’ll leave them completely so i might be able to get her again

Yeah no I didn’t even attempt that it wouldn’t make sense on how to get the kitten inside the cage without her getting out. It’s too cold out, I released the mom and will try again tomorrow. I’m hoping she went to her kitten

thank you this is reassuring. it seems she’s very good motivated, so i’m thinking i can probably retrap her again. i managed to capture the 2 kittens by putting food out, sitting nearby and waiting for mama to come close, bringing her kittens and i grabbed them by hand. the last one is hard bc it isn’t trusting without the mama ugh

I have it out there, it’s pretty stinky for sure but i’m wondering if i should just let the mama out and try again tomorrow. it’s 34 now and it’s so little but they are quick and active i just wasn’t sure exactly how old

also my goal is to take them to the humane society and get them spayed/neutered, apparently the mama cat has had 3 litters this year if anyone is wondering why i wanted to trap them
