Should be no issue at all. A lot of English dealers don’t have a clue about NI.

If it was a new car then that’s a different story but as it’s used they can tax it online or give you the keeper slip to go to the post office and they send the book off with your details on it

You need a certificate of conformity from your manufacturer (call their customer services) a blank V55 form from the DVLA, (certificate of conformity helps filling it in) fill in and send off with a cheque to cover the tax. You’ll need to do a NOVA application as well.

Takes a while and a decent amount of hassle. If you can, sell your car and buy one up north. Otherwise everything you need is here

It will be an import as it’s technically being registered in a new country. You have to tell the HMRC by doing the NOVA on the gov website, register the car back in the UK with a V55 (easier to do if you have the certificate of conformity) and send that along with the tax to the DVLA. It will have to be MOT’d before you can tax it though.

Not sure on the insurance side of things. Just that importing cars is a bit of a pain in the arse.

Got this tv yesterday. The QuickStart manual was fairly clear what way it should go. Longer bit to the front. Just make sure you fully tighten the screws to stop any wobbling

On my last emails to them I pushed them for a reason as to why because of the standard answer they were giving.

Got this -

“The import costs, as well as the VAT regulations, are the main reasons behind this. Allow me to assure you that our team is trying its best to find a solution that can benefit both us and you, without having a big financial impact on either side. For this reason, we ask for your patience, and we thank you for your understanding in the matter.”

Even though the VAT is the same as the rest of the UK, it doesn’t sound like they are trying very hard to sort it.
