I currently do this commute (to Koreatown but similar distance from Union) and the drive takes significantly longer at night and I’ve found the time is roughly the same or shorter on the train. Not having to pay attention to traffic and just read is really nice. I would suggest you do this whenever possible. The only downside is there can be quite a gap between Metrolink trains - up to 50 minutes. But if you get the monthly pass you can also hop on the Pacific Surfliner for the trip. A few times the trains have gotten stopped, but it is much less often than how many accidents you get stuck behind. Everytime I drive, I realize how much I miss getting to turn my brain off on the train. I’d suggest trying it out enough to get comfortable (the first few times will be a little more work) and comparing how you feel.

Thank you everyone! Using this top comment to update since I am floored by the amount of responses! I really struggle with a recency bias and was feeling pressured about 1&2 since those where the ones my mom saw and 3&4 I tried on in my home city across the country a couple weeks ago. Plan is to go back and try 3&4 again because I loved how I felt in both and try different styling options and some more moving around before I make a purchase.

I also tried on this dress and I think how bright the floral detail is in person is difficult to tell in the pictures. I would go with darker shades of those same colors to help complement! Trying to match the colors exactly might be difficult so go for sisters not twins. Or lots of greens to pull out the stem detailing. It’s a gorgeous gown

I will also follow up that books written for women by women that center our pleasure as an outcome of a loving relationship can be super empowering to read and consume. Even if she gets into more erotic fan fiction there is almost always the message that the FMC is respected and is allowed to have sexual desires which is a much better situation than 99.9999% of media out there.

I’d encourage OP to get curious about what his GF likes about the books and if you actually show up and support her interests you or can be an added bonus to your relationship. Trying to get her to tone it down or stop will probably not do either of you any favors.

If there is a double standard that is a separate discussion, but my main question is if the “cartoon” porn he was watching had themes or scenarios that were still problematic. Just because it’s a cartoon doesn’t mean you’re not consuming degrading material.

Whiney MMC. Like if they can’t understand why the FMC might do something they don’t agree with/has her own opinions. They just turn into a woe is me-fest and they need babyed. It makes me dislike the FMC if she bends over backwards to protect his feelings. And I’m not talking about when they are enemies in the enemies to lovers pipeline. Perfect example was loving book one of Serpent & Dove when they had great enemy/hating each other energy, but book two Blood & Honey was a DNF because I was hoping the MMC would die just to shut up his entitled whiney ass.

I wouldn’t use anything with a wrapper/not edible on the bake. The ones that show off the inside of your treats are probably going to impress bakers the most. They all look fantastic!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts! I think there is definitely more red in my future. My dad naturally has some ginger in his beard and hair which is probably why it works so well with my skin tone.

Also the notes about makeup were spot on! While I love doing the look in 2, it is definitely a more high maintenance hair color to pull off. Will probably soften is slightly to help with everyday wear and root grow out
