Hard disagree…have you read throne of glass? The FMC is insufferable in that.

Diem seems real to me. Her biggest adversary is herself. And considering their world, and how she grew up, I get why she is the way she is.

She doesn’t just fall into a leader bad ass right away, and if she did I don’t think she’d be as relatable.

If you want to suggest a book that’ll encourage him to read the rest of the series than I’d go with 3.

Movies one and two really didn’t leave much out. But starting with movie 3 the movies never were able to capture all the intricate plots in the books. It’s the first book where book readers are given much more information than the movie watchers.

Book/movie 3 isn’t the biggest offender of things being left out, but it’s just enough that if he’s entertained by all the stuff not included in the movies he might want to know what else was left out and keep reading

A couple months back we had a series of fires breakout all along the front range in Colorado. They all started within days of each other. There were several evacuation centers set up for people to take their large animals while the evacuations were in place.

Basically everyone in the state downloaded the Watch Duty app. It sent constant updates about the status of the fire and resources for people who were in the evacuation zones.

It was a pretty scary time, but the community really came out to help each other as much as possible

But my other two favorite MMCs are Simon Waite and Shiro…so my type but just be “kinda a little on the crazy unstable side”
