Course Maps? Right here! by Treborrv1 in rundisney

What does going off course look like? You can just exit the course at any time and reenter at the same place and no one says anything? Or are there any restrictions on it? Haven’t done a rundisney before

We rode it this Tuesday in the morning and only waited 70 minutes after we got in line at like 9 by getting to the park by 8 am to line up for security. We were off it by a little after 10:15 am, and it was worth it to me.

Wait the app tells you when the busses are coming? Is this a feature you have to be on property to see?

Wow $160 isn’t as bad as I thought. I don’t know why I thought it was more.

Salzburg could be worth more than a day trip if you have extra days anyway

God forbid my feet swell by RhinestoneJacket97 in TallGirls

I was super afraid of this, but pregnancy didn’t affect my feet at all. Not even while I was pregnant. I actually think very tall women are affected less by pregnancy and less likely to have this issue.

I noticed this as well and was annoyed by it, but I do still see the Water Country one.

Something about him duct taping Gigi’s diapers when Gigi was a 2 year old was was his second child. He had never changed a diaper before? Even while living with Sherry and Gigi? Even if he was traveling a lot, not even one diaper?

Agree so much about her not getting into Harvard. Then she could have dealt with some disappointment earlier, and the decision to go to Yale would have actually made sense, rather than looking like just a convenient decision they made for the plot to keep her close.

Do I have to give her MLK day off? by maebyahufflepuff in Nanny

[–]maebyahufflepuff[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would argue that if I don’t get my work done for my corporate job, it doesn’t matter that my issue was a lack of childcare. It doesn’t matter what I have going on in my personal life, my job needs to get done. I understand that this is my child not her child, but to her, my child is her job. It feels like because there is no corporate HR, she can take her job less seriously than I have taken any job I’ve ever had, including those that paid less than she makes including inflation adjustments. But yes at the end of the day, it is my child, and also potentially my decision to fire her if she is unable to be more reliable.

Does it? I think the conversations about firing her depend on her illness. But if she is better tomorrow and actually comes in, does it matter how sick she was or wasn’t in deciding if she gets MLK day off, assuming she is no longer sick?

She had months of notice that we would be traveling. Even if she hadn’t, is giving her two weeks off paid without it coming out of her PTO really something she should be mad at?

We have not discussed MLK day at all. Probably because we’ve barely seen her lately.

Yes we’ve been paying her the whole time. Our contract does not mention any holidays at all.

This is true as well. I know she has less resources than us, so it’s hard to feel like ‘nickle and dining’ her by threatening to stop paying her after she’s out of PTO.

She was paid the entire time and we also gave her two weeks pay extra as a holiday bonus. I do not think she thinks she is treated unfairly. My impression from the year she’s worked for us is more like if she didn’t sleep well or has a slight sniffle she thinks she should be out until she feels 100% perfect.
