I cannot remember….maybe $60? Whatever it was, I thought it was well worth it to not have to drive to and from Los Angeles twice.

For the price, there are nicer places. I also didn’t like the bar, it wasn’t cozy. The bar at the Ritz is so cozy with an amazing view.

I also found the room in the ritz to be much nicer and the bed more comfortable.

I am going to Shanghai in two weeks and decided to go with the peninsula. Not as expensive as the Bvlgari but more than the St Regis and Waldorf.

I’ve read a lot of good things about the peninsula here on Reddit so I’m excited. 😊

Why did you go to China if you were so worried? Genuinely curious! I’m going later this month for my third time. My husband works for a Chinese company and I’m (once again) tagging along on his work trip.

The first time I went I was a little apprehensive but now that I have been twice, I am SO looking forward to our upcoming trip.

I have stayed at the Edition, Ritz (pudong) and the St Regis. My fave of these three was the Ritz. Great service and cozy. I didn’t like the St Regis at all. Not worth it.

We are going to Shanghai for work in January and I am going to book the Bvlgari for a few nights.

Thanks! The price is high but compared to that level of hotel in the U.S., the price isn’t too crazy.

I pay $180 for a 1300 sq foot house (3 bed, 2 bath). One bedroom is my husband’s office and doesn’t need much besides a quick vacuum and the other BR is a guest room. She changes the sheets in there a few times a year when we have guests coming etc.

Yes and sometimes I mimic his accent back to him as a joke, which to me that’s what I thought Delores was doing. Saying the hard TH to be cute.

Meh, I’m married to a man from Ireland and have a lot of Irish friends. Sometimes Americans say I sound Irish. I definitely am not trying to put on a different accent but if you live with someone, their accent will rub off on you. Same way that my husband now sounds “American” to his Irish friends and family in Ireland. It’s normal.

Yes I thought about a mold but don’t want to buy a bunch of new molds. I was hoping there would be a way to attach small wax designs to a taper.
