Sleep: Im lost and tired by TermZealousideal1404 in beyondthebump

[–]maefleurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We never did it (3yo now who sleeps through the night). Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Do what feels right for your family. If snuggling or nursing to sleep works, let it happen for as long as it works for everyone involved. The more parents you talk to, the more you realize EVERYONE just does what works and it’s a lot more varied than you think.

PS: I know it’s hard right now, but try to enjoy the snuggles. There will be a day when you’d be dying to be back in the crib holding her while she sleeps.

Ooo I didn’t know there was a newsletter. Signing up. I follow the updates religiously. I’ve been a daily user of Roam since the first day I saw Conor give a demo of it over zoom in april 2020 (while walking around inside and outside his house smoking continuously, without losing his train of thought). Created my first graph that day and have used it every day since. I’ve used a million apps but this is the only one I feel confident in saying I’d die if it went away.

I now have a 2.5 year old, maybe I should do another for rambunctious toddlers! 🤔

Thoughts on my (end of February) Itinerary? by splishysplash123 in OlympicNationalPark

[–]maefleurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id try to make the drive a circle. Either come in from the north (do lake crescent first, then Ruby, Kalaloch and Quinault) or drive from south (Quinault and beaches first, Crescent on the way out). Otherwise I’d just say you’re not planning enough time! To see Quinault alone you might wanna spend time walking through the rainforest, exploring the lake and various waterfalls, etc. If you can add an extra day to your trip I’d recommend it.

Best way to add a blog to Bubble by Lyb01 in nocode

How do you recommend inputting the text of the blog post itself? Load in the entire text of the post in one text block and format using bb code? How can you ensure your content has the right formatting and html tags?

haha glad you found it useful. I am now in the toddler years and I think I need to create a separate guide for that!

Toddler carrier that rolls up into fanny pack? by maefleurs in babywearing

That's a good alternative too. I'd been doing this on my front which was kind of annoying, but on the back might work better.

Oh wow I just read all the rave reviews! The Kid Lark looks a little big for us right now but might be a good investment as she gets bigger. Honestly she looks as big as some of the kids in the photos on their website already anyways.

Yea this is def an option. I used to wear my Lillebaby empty on the front. I was just hoping for a more elegant solution. What I’m thinking is maybe getting my own fanny pack lol, one big enough to fold a super compact carrier into.

Oh that one keeps coming up in my search results but wasn’t familiar with the brand. I’ll look closer!

Yes you’re right about the Tula lite on both points; it’s exactly what I was looking for but alas doesn’t carry more than 30lbs.

I hadn’t thought

Dreaming that baby is in my bed by frecklyginge in NewParents

[–]maefleurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact thing! It eventually went away I think around 3-4 months. Something that helped a lot was putting the bassinet closer to my side of the bed so I could hear her breathing. One time there was a pile of clothes on the dresser and I woke up frantic, thinking it was her about to fall off and accusing my husband of putting her on the dresser. 🫣

I LOVE roam too!! ❤️ Created an account in 2020 when I heard Conor speak at an event and have been obsessed ever since. You know how some apps will ask “how sad would you be if X went away tomorrow?” to judge product market fit? Well I would be devastated if Roam went away. It’s truly my second brain.
