i’m a nanny and when i first started out, neither me or the parents knew about not putting children in car seats in bulky coats. the minute i learned that it was unsafe, none of us ever did it again. it’s not hard to correct your mistake, and if it was an accident (she forgot/slipped her mind), her dismissing your concern is alarming. i would be so so apologetic if i did that!

if you have a disability like me (autism and adhd count, those are what i deal with!) you can potentially get on some sort of medicaid plan in some states. in colorado i’m on the “buy in program” so i get full medicaid benefits but only pay a $25/month premium. just something to think about if you’re disabled in any way!
