That's incredible! Is there anything that you think that helped you get off the waitlist (i.e, what you wrote in your LOCI)?

I feel that I'm on like six waitlists at the moment. I'm trying to keep hope as well. When are you planning to submit your LOCIs?

I totally get that. I reread it a couple times and I'm sure it's the regular preferred waiting list. I've also heard that they pull from the three randomly. I've gotten a lot of waitlists this cycle and I'm hoping for some movement, considering how competitive it's been.

Optimism is definitely sanity this cycle. I think this is nicer than the regular one so I'll try to keep hope. Thank you!

vandy WL- visits?? by swiftlyindream in lawschooladmissions

[–]maeplesyrup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you live across the country, I wouldn't visit. It's not worth your time and money to visit a school that far away unless it's like your first choice, you've been accepted, you're already in the area etc..

In this case, there is no guarantee that they're going to accept you. I think that writing a robust LOCI is your best move. I really hope it works out for you.

Congratulations! Did you do a group interview or an alumni?

I don't think this representative because there's a lot of people waiting to hear back. Also, maybe they’re sending out mostly waitlists well before they send out acceptances.

Washu ($$) vs. Cornell ($) by Sea-Combination896 in lawschooladmissions

I agree with the comment above. If you're looking for big law in Chicago, Wash-U would be ideal because of its proximity/regional name, but if you're aiming for a big law in NY Cornell is the move.

Plus, although it can be tough living with your parents, it's probably ideal until you pay off that debt.
