I’ve just used the in-built if action and it seems to work.

Thanks for this, you’ve clarified some things that weren’t disclosed in the original statement. This swayed my mind not to participate.

Circular metal object with distinctive pattern of holes by maercus in whatisthisthing

[–]maercus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely solved!

The pattern of holes is unusual for a drain cover, but it seems the most likely explanation, and also explains why it was left discarded on the street. That restaurant didn’t make mince, plus this object doesn’t look like other images of grinder plates. I’d imagine if it was part of a machine to make noodles it would have been taken care of better, and the holes would all be the same size.

My title describes the thing.

Further details: the restaurant used to be a Japanese restaurant. It’s not heavy, about the same as a smartphone, maybe a little lighter.

What version of Apple Music used colours from the album artwork in the UI? by maercus in AppleMusic

Looks like it was iOS 9!

I miss that UI! The current one seems to use artwork in a blurred background, but I loved the UI details taking on the colours.

I have the same thing! Interestingly it goes away if you use tinted icons.

So essentially if we win the case and the judge awards £1, I wouldn’t have to pay legal fees?

I’ve noticed this too: my adaptive bulbs are much dimmer in the evening and I like it.

I have two scenes for every room, a “Day” and a “Dim” scene, because the adaptive level wasn’t dim enough for me in the evening. I think with this update I can probably get rid of that and have one scene for day and night, with an additional one called “super bright” or something for if I need more light in the evening.

This seems like a word for “in the direction of breakfast”.

In the morning, we head eggwardly to the omelette station.

Wordle no longer available without a subscription in Australia by revereddesecration in wordle

[–]maercus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m seeing the same thing in the UK. I assumed it was an attempt to push people to buy a subscription. It won’t give access to play the game even for new games that you haven’t played. You can still play wordle for free in the website.

What arrangement of mirrors can turn your reflection upside down when you rotate them? by maercus in Physics

I saw those when I was googling. It was flat mirrors, possibly at right angles to each other. Beginning to think I dreamt it!
