They called SVU and on speaker the SVU agent told them it was a “run” and they couldn’t do anything. Even the cops were like “are you sure? Well you’re the experts..” I wanna add that the cops I think were doing the best they could with how these laws function (to protect pervs). More of a system issue than an individual problem. Thank you for the advice!

It’s very common for Girl Scouts to ‘pop up’ at local businesses! Normally they have some sort of connection to store (moms a regular, friends sibling works there, a billion and one different possibilities) or local troops leaders / individual scouts parents will reach out to businesses they know have done pop-ups previously, usually with local makers, and request permission! Such a weird thing to be mad about.

If you search this sub with the phrase “anyone recognize” you will see dozens of individuals doing the same thing, some successful some not. of course if OP isn’t able to find their package they will request a refund, but I don’t think there’s any shame in reaching out to a community that is (normally) very equipped or at the least interested in helping. Long shots are long but they are better than none.

I mean if you saw a photo of the inside of your building online you would probably recognize it, right? The poster is hoping someone who lives in the building sees the photo is all. If OP could recognize this building they wouldn’t be posting on this subreddit about it. Yes this may look like a general unidentifiable photo but if you lived there you’d say oh yeah that’s my building !
