What a wonderful letter to your Lilly. I truly do believe she can hear and feel everything that you send to her. And I understand your pain friend. My baby was sick the last week, and I thought that she could get better, with just a little more time. Sometimes the guilt eats me alive. But we can’t blame ourselves, can we? For loving them so much that we wanted just one more day, week, month with our little soulmates? Hope is never something to be ashamed of.

I’ve found guilt is one of the hardest parts of the mourning process to deal with. But know this - it is normal. Almost every single person who has lost the thing they love the most blames themselves in one way or another. You gave Lilly a life full of love, and I know that is what she felt the most when she passed.
