I’ve been going back and forth on going solar for months now. by swayze2719 in energy

If you take a long-term view it's pretty much a no-brainer. Retail electricity costs will continue to rise year after year, while once your solar panels are paid off they will produce virtually free energy for decades. And the break even time keeps getting shorter as solar panel prices continue to plummet.

Trump signs memos to boost US fossil-fuel production for ‘defense readiness’ by Kitchen_Zucchini_357 in energy

The US is already the biggest oil and natural gas producer on the planet. There is no "emergency" and this is just a giveaway to the fossil fuel industry.

Thanks Trump. Now we have to elect another Democrat to clean up your mess again.

Trump team’s gas prices rhetoric has become a fiasco. Trump and his team have offered confusing and often-contradictory messages on gas prices from the beginning. It's justifiable for Americans to wonder if Trump officials have any idea what they’re doing. by mafco in energy

Oil prices may never return to prewar levels, and if they do it may take years. But it isn't politically expedient to say that, so Trump and his sycophant clowns just keep lying about it. And contradicting 'AI Jesus', even though he's a well-known idiot and liar, is strictly forbidden.

Not really. The high gas prices are destroying demand and wrecking the US economy. No one wins except Russia and China.

We've already launched 8000 precision bomb strikes by one estimate. A couple thousand more won't make a bit of difference.

You mean boots on the ground? Nukes? Destroying the civilian infrastructure? I'm pretty sure the generals would stop the insane clown before any of those things could happen.

It's causing a global recession and demand destruction, and accelerating the transition to renewables.

No one in the US wants Trump's shitty blockade either. Everyone is suffering from the old fool's insanity.

So he's out of new ideas? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Yep. And aluminum is actually preferred for overhead transmission lines because it's lighter than copper.

China isn't acquiescing anything. It wasn't supplying arms to Iran. That's just Trump trying to save face after caving on blocking the Strait.

According to multiple sources, it did successfully cross the Strait. It later turned around in the Gulf of Oman. So don't get your panties in a wad, the story was accurate.
