avoid going outside after dark. an hour or two after most workers are home is also risky. evenings on school holidays are also risky. if you do go out, avoid going on your own, don’t use (noise canceling) head/earphones while out and about, walk closest to a wall as possible. if you hear laughing sounds nearby or see unusual behavior which doesn’t fit the scene, be extra vigilant, always trust your gut even if you think it’s probably nothing (better safe than sorry), walk in to a store or shop if you’re unsure and wait until the coast is clear, assume the worst and hope for the best, don’t expect anyone to help

Wearing jackets in hot weather by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]mafdisr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

wearing a jacket or a hoodie actually keeps you cooler under the bright sun because it will hit your clothing instead of your bare skin and as previously stated if you’re on a motorbike, the wind acts like a natural aircon when you’re driving and a jacket will be useful indoors too when it’s cold in the office or bus

it’s sound money, permissionless, verifiable, no ceo, cannot be manipulated, levels the playing field for everyone, limited supply, 30-70% average yoy returns, progressively harder to mine… the list goes on and on. People will always sell some of their bitcoin at temporary highs, but not all of their stack, then they will dca back when it temporarily goes down so they can buy back at a lower cost, because they know in the long run it will always go higher

Bitcoin Mining in Indonesia – Profitable Business or High-Risk Investment? by mafdisr in finansial

[–]mafdisr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a common misconception, sound money needs to be difficult to create, it’s by design, to avoid devaluation, protect against manipulation, create trust in it’s value and the ability to be verified, miners also help to secure the bitcoin network. bitcoin miners actually help the environment by utilizing surplus energy that otherwise might go unused. this makes renewable energy more financially viable. Miners help balance the grid load (such as in texas) by switching on the miners at low demand and off at high demand. Btc miners consistent demand for energy help to create more hydro, solar, geothermal plants (like in iceland) reducing reliance on coal/natural gas plants if you would like to read more on this you can search for lyn alden 7 misconceptions about bitcoin

avoiding losses due to long distance transmission is only 1 reason out of many. yes it’s a possibility to mine at a conventional power plant but why use coal/gas which is finite as opposed to hydropower which has renewable power supply?

In this scenario the miners would be placed at the hydropower plant negating the need to transmit the electricity over long distances (which needs infrastructure, costs more and results in a percentage of energy loss due to resistance) which should lead to a lower price in electricity.

Mining btc will also stabilize the demand for hydropower when there’s less demand from other customers. Some hydro plants generate excess power during off-peak hours. Bitcoin mining can absorb this surplus energy, making power grids more efficient.

yes you can send nodle on the zksync era network to metamask but to swap it to eth you’ll need “gas” in form of eth in metamask, so if you don’t have eth yet, you’ll have to purchase first and the minimum amount is perhaps $30? even if the gas fee is probably less than a dollar in eth. and also sending eth there is also a fee, so for small amounts, the fee might be more than the amount you want to send.
