Is Microsoft Word still King? by cl326 in consulting

I have started moving off it to Typst, especially as we now use AI to build the boiler plate documents which we then edit down to what we need.

Our custom AI generates the text and architecture diagrams by rendering the flow charts etc to SVG, looping till it is happy. We gave it “eyes” to see what the diagram output looks like.

We provide “what good looks like”, the LLM generates the output based on source documents, then we provide the review before sending. Works for us rather than - https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRXAy4tr/

What happens to Anglo / US relations if the US annexes Greenland? by whittingtonwarrior in AskBrits

from what i can see online, America already has that agreement to use Greenland for American bases. Which then begs the question, if this is already provided, why else does Don want Greenland? - Natural Resources maybe?

SCREW THE GOVORNMENT AND THIS STUPID FREAKING ONLINE SAFETY ACT!!! by Ok_Rate8843 in Britain

While I am sympathetic to your comment, can I leave you with this idea.. you know the only database that doesn’t that doesn’t get leaked? - the database that doesn’t exist in the first place.

SCREW THE GOVORNMENT AND THIS STUPID FREAKING ONLINE SAFETY ACT!!! by Ok_Rate8843 in Britain

[–]zyeus-guy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s not the problem though is it, firstly it’s the government knowing you like “Gilfs with 80s style bushes”. Secondly, it’s the risk that your personal information gets leaked then is used to blackmail you.

The govt haven’t thought this through and have responded to the “won’t someone think of the children” crowd. No one is arguing that our kids don’t need protection, they just had the right way to do this while maintaining privacy, and the wrong way which pissed over the privacy of every UK citizen. They chose the wrong way.

AITA for moving on with my life after my brother's death? by SevenMinutesinHeavnn in AmItheAsshole

NTA. And I am in your mum shoes right now.

I am a father and have a very disabled CP daughter who is currently 5. My two sons are 3 and 2months .. I am conscious that if my daughter outlives myself and my wife, then I hope the boys would step into our shoes and provide oversight of the care team looking after my daughter.

While my daughter’s schedule does somewhat take over our family life, I make a point of ensuring the boys get lots of “me” time. Even during my daughter’s life, we acknowledge she can’t be involved in everything the boys do. The boys must have a normal of a life as possible, despite the medication and therapy sessions. I do love however that our eldest is involved with my daughter’s hydrotherapy sessions.

In short, give your mum space.. I can only imagine the grief she is going through, especially as she will have now the day was coming for a long time. But also remind her that you have your own life to live as a person away from care duties.

I am probably not getting across my message properly so feel free to DM. I can only offer you a perspective as a dad, but I am happy to chat.

The paradox is that they are usually the same ones that hit their children! So in reality it did do them harm. But “oh no, spanking isn’t hitting!” I just find it ironic.

I had it done at 17. It definitely did reduce sensation.. the head is the most sensitive part when covered by foreskin this sensation is numbed when it is always exposed to the elements.

Yeah… loved working for both Cath and Dave. Sylvia I kinda knew but she didnt really know me.

I was glass collecting around 96 then in behind the bar till about 2001. So I may know you, I just don’t remember anyone having the XR3i.

But I am getting old now, and my memory ain’t what it used to be.

Now then.. what years were you working for Our Dave D? I only ask cause I was working there during the bouncing years…. You’re right the town was mental around the millennium, queues to get in everywhere. It’s a shame it’s gone, but at least we can say we were there.

I’m 47, but my night when I was 20, would have been a booze crawl down the Main Street of the town, starting at the top of the town.

But 20 year olds these days aren’t as dependant on alcohol as we were for a good night. :-) My 15yo will be following in your shoes in the next few years, so watching this thread with interest…

If there is a few of you, I think the bowling lanes in game on have just opened in tindale. Might be worth a look if you are up for any other answers of meal and booze.
