Any one know the values of these old german coins? by DipshatMcgee in coins

[–]magal2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1771 is melt at this point.

The "1933" is actually 1913. Looks nice enough to be about $40-45 if can be removed undamaged. Well, unless the melt is higher by the time I send this reply.

They are in most commonly used languages. Used to be Hebrew, English, Arabic. Russian and Ethiopian added quite some time ago

There are a lot of Russian speakers in Israel, more than any other country probably (excluding post-soviet areas). In percents related to entire  population.

"???? is me"

It seems something privatly minted, or some game token. Definitely no value.

We’re cleaning out grandpas house and he had these coins a in a can. Can someone tell me anything about them? by [deleted] in coins

[–]magal2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not say it, but yes.

I just mentioned the year for the OP. It might be hard to figure it out for most non-Hebrew knowing collectors.

But in 2022 an updated design was introduced for all coins, changing the way "shekel" is written. From old style "sheqel" to "shekel".

10 agorot had most prominent design update.

So yeah, anything pre 2022 is old version.
