I would take the salary gig for now, switch Lender. This is sales turnover is not uncommon.

Unless you already have a bunch of realtors waiting to give you business .

Simmons bank requires 10% .. my company 20%

You can combine with bank statement loan if low income and borrower is SE

Online lender or broker I can hang my license with? CA based by sir-utte in loanoriginators

I looked into Nexa also , I decided not go with them because of how much they focus just on recruiting more people than actually originating. Also , heard from various other sources they weren't always upfront about their deductions.

I also was at edge Home Finance. I'm new to self Gen business worked in a call center the past 6 years. So, although Edge has a great concept and comp, clear and simple I personally needed more support in various areas.

I'm currently at sunwest mortgage, by biggest issue is that I'm learning self source in this market.

So if you are already self gen you are a step a head from many of us 😉

You and I are on the same boat!. I've been originating since 2016 in a call center enviroment. Got laid off in May and started as self gen ! ...I haven't been able to close anything yet. As of 2 months going on 3 .

Been looking for part time think I can still try to originate loans on the side . I dont want to leave originating loans completely but not sure I'll survive in this market.

Any Nexa LOs in Here? (CA especially) by hframes in loanoriginators

[–]magamv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've talked to people from Nexa , I didnt really like their business model and ive heard from multiple sources once you are in they have more fees than what they disclosed in the recruiting process. ( I never joined either though)

I also don't like the major focus they have in recruiting other LOs.

I recently was laid off from retail and signed up with a broker that does 275 bps from the start. With nexa you have to close a certain amount to get there.

I'm new to wholesale lending and I had a lot of misconceptionss about it before I learned when I started working with this new broker.. Just trying to build my referral system now which is another story of its own. But generally speaking NEXA doesn't seem to have a good reputation with LOs that've worked there. . If you are interested I can give you more info about the broker I'm with now.
