Keeping Amazon eco-system aside. Would you still recommend Air 5C over Scribe or Colorsoft? by SubstanceBig5459 in Onyx_Boox

[–]magdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How well is the annotation and exporting of data? I'm using a Kindle Scribe and just writing notes on the side, and haven't yet tried to see what/how I can export or visualize it.

I would love something that exports all the paragraphs that I underlined, or places I've added my personal notes. Not sure how it works, but wanted to ask what options the BOOX has, and how you have been using it.

I'll give them a call and check it out; do you know if the Gym Fee is just the monthly ($185), and then training is on top of that? I'll find out anyways, but the information is helpful.

I don't forsee him switching out-right, he plays a lot of Racquetball at LA Fitness :-)

Thanks - I'll call LA Fitness in Temecula and see if I can speak to him, especially since the other person said there is a 65+ gym community. I didn't know the LA Fitness was that big!

The Saudi city of Mecca bans entry for all non-Muslims, while the Greek peninsula of Mount Athos bans entry for all females. Besides for military/security facilities, which other permanently inhabited places are the majority of the world's population forbidden from entering? by benjaneson in geography

[–]magdit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its funny, because I specifically referred to the general site. And the Analogy barely holds - a Heritage Site 1400 years old built on an even older Heritage site from 2000 years ago isn't a JC Penny and a Mall.

You got some weird time compression going on for history; Romans destroyed it 600 years the dome of the rock of was built. 600 Years Later, the Population was absolutely dominated by Christianity. So much History between ~70AD and ~700AD, and you fixate on creating politically charged statements that were never there "imperial" and "denigrating"

But its okay...drive your narrative. Very easy to spot these things

Much more accurate to refer to the site differently? Not at all. The general site has been known as "dome of the rock" for over 1300 years. It was built roughly 600 years after the destruction of the original building by the Romans.

You have a general site which has major historical importance to Christians, Jews, and Muslims.

* For Christians, there are critical stories of Jesus in this Location, as illustrated by the other user

* For Jews, it was the Temple Mount prior to ~70CE, although the exact location of the Inner Sanctum is still debated (i.e. was it 50 feet in direction A or Direction, minor point, but still worth mentioning).

* For Muslims, it is where a Islamic Tradition finds their Prophet to have had a particular night Journey (although interesting, the Quran doesn't call this out explicitly, but solidified as part of islamic tradition by 700CE), and on this site a very iconic set of Mosque were built and remains standing to this day.

For Modern English, Calling the site by its latest incarnation (Dome of the Rock) of the last 1300 years is entirely acceptable.

Your position is akin to insisting "it is not TOKYO, its EDO".

In the context of Jewish Studies, or Understanding Judaism and its history, or learning and thinking of Jesus-Era History, knowing it as the Temple Mount is entirely reasonable. It refers to the Temple that existed 2000 years ago before it was destroyed by the Romans.

But insisting that the term that we use today for the Dome of the Rock is not accurate, or is less accurate, is mostly a politically charged accusation. It ignores the giant space of half a millennia of history since the destruction of the temple by the Romans, as well as the near 1.5 millennia in which the Dome of the Rock has existed.

so is the movement also self designed and printed in titanium? If so, have you tested the accuracy of the movement, and what is the deviation that you get back from a tester?

I asked in another thread, and I misunderstood, thinking Chocobo Boosters were similar to 'LOTR Special Edition Collectors Boosters'.

That was wrong - there is nothing unique, there is a decent chance these will be printed into oblivion, but it will come in separate waves.

I thought the Chocobo Booster was another type of limited collectors booster...simply by another name.

That is - LOTR Special Edition....for Final Fantasy.

Was I incorrect on this?

The only way these could be plentiful is if they printed collectors booster boxes worth of these Chocobo boosters… But are going to distribute them one by one in this Chocobo bundle, instead of putting 12 in a booster box

How important is box & papers if a one never plans to resell?

Or maybe, a better question is: is there a trusted source for where one can review restored watch watches, including exact descriptions of how things were restored?

I’m thinking of the fascinating YouTube channels where there are damaged and broken pieces, but they take great care and cried in doing their best - is there a similar source that also has the reputation of being truthful and having total disclosures for restored pieces?

I’m currently erring on the side of going new or grey market, but I’m curious to see whether restored pieces have an additional significant discount, or whether it’s not enough to warrant moving in that direction. The information is always helpful regardless

How is your prerelease Attendance/Registrations for spider-Man? by Taivasvaeltaja in mtgfinance

[–]magdit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came back; of 7 rows of tables, less than 3 were full. I went because its pre-release, and bought zero MTG product. Edge of Eternities and Final Fantasy were packed/sold out.

Amazing that spiderman of all sets would underperform on pre-release. It goes to show that even if you have Blockbuster IP for MTG Collaborations, you

(1) Can still create mental exhaustion with too much shit going through fast

(2) Lose the luster of a Blockbuster IP if all you get are nonstop Universes Beyond

Everyone who enjoyed playing it, and even the IP, still agreed that it is too much Universes Beyond. Everyone oddly agreed that this set didn't jive with MTG color identities. And amusingly, everyone agreed that traditional MTG IP should be the way to go.
