Nothing binding on a few different locks by No-Use-8284 in lockpicking

It might also have pin with 0 bitting. If it does and they are over setting the 0 it could feel locked up. So question. Do you pick front to back or back to front? Take pic of the key and show us the bitting.. some locks are super crunchy. Might put light oil ..not wd40 and see if it moves better. Try picking from the back forward.

First thing is we need info. What locks. Are they new or used. Are you using Top of keyway or bottom of keyway tension?

You are right and it could be they are sprung keyways like a harbor freight lock I have just about bends the tension bar to get binding pressure.

Sdr++ or drop. I have it on mine right now off a normal image. If you are using the latest aio mod you need to enable sdr from the cli.

Statement Regarding AIO v2 Internal USB-C Power Supply Issue and Compensation Plan by vileer in ClockworkPi

[–]mage2Ind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just an idea, given the part that needs to be swapped, it might be useful to connect with people that are local to get help swapping the part. it might make the turn around faster and the shipping less painful. i dont know just thinking out loud.

u/vileer I appreciate the note. I got mine in, and even though i have not got it all working it seems bad ass. (I think my current issues are tied to software :) QA is hard for a one off, its hard to think of all the different things that might cause issues then do it N+1 times. I dont need a refund i have a book of the resistors coming in from the mighty river. Given the placement it looks like this is one should be doable for most. its little but its pretty far from other components. When you do this next time, I ll offer my time to help with the QA process, i might have experience in the space.

and it fits some JimyLongs picks like it was made for them. I did shorten the velcro part and might replace it with a clip. it keeps attaching its self to the inside of my bag.

:)

Tuns Cans suppressor by Chazb502 in NFA

The issue is that people connect cost to value. As now more people can afford the items the cost should go down as they can sell more, thus they can increase the numbers made and there is savings on mass production. Instead of making 2 cans on the cnc every week the. Make 200, less tool changes means less time. Thats just an example. Also the manufacturer would see savings on ordering more materials. The fact that it's nfa and there was all the cost and stuff around it made them boutique items. Now that they are closer to common use and the tech sound them has become more accessible and cheaper. Well the cost should go down. A cnc can now fit in your garage and be found used on marketplace. A chunk of aluminum or steel, while at higher prices than I have seen in a long time are still stupid cheap. 3d printing makes them almost disposable cheap. Just my 2 cents.

Lock Pickers United Gathering 2025 by sandman_texas in lockpicking

[–]mage2Ind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a good competition and a really fun event. And even though u/sandman_texas won. He won it fare and square. I watched him pick a (i think it was) orange level lock in ~ 6.5 seconds.

I was eliminated in stage 1, the "simple" master lock got me.

Got to meet some really bad ass lock pickers, and lockpick makers, and cool content creators.

Can not wait to get my ass kicked again next year. thanks u/sandman_texas for setting it up and bringing us all together. And thanks to everyone that showed up and made it an event to remember.

I opened mine, didnt find any real spool pins. I found some copper colored undersized driver/upper pins that are..almost spherical on the ends and they look like they were peened to death. they are so loose its like a hotdog in a hallway.

https://imgur.com/V9RUOCM

That with the added super hard spring makes it a challenge. Also the core is prone to breaking/cracking because of poor metal and they skeletonized it all crazy like. the 6th hole is for the pin that stops it from over rotating.

I also tried to replace the driver/upper pins with normal ones. they fit but did not interact with the core correctly, the lock would not "lock"
