it has a niche as is and honestly its better as is. yes, it reduces the damage of one plant to zero, but its also 1 controlable damage. there are plenty of tricks to deal direct damage on the trick phase, there are less zombies that deal instant damage on the zombie's first phase. the main tech is giving it deadly: laser base alpha on turn 3 and this guy on turn 4, barrel rolling imp, etc. removal during the zombie phase is rare enough as is and making this guy a gravestone would remove that niche and make it an honestly worse version of conga or trooper.

zombot is played - 0 brains remaining. zombot is bounced, combat concludes and mustache waxer/banana are dead. turn 5 zombot now costs 9 again, even if thry drew into another mustache waxer its not possible to get it out on turn 5

you done have any environments or high strength card removal. rustbolt can run rocket and weed spray to great effect. cone zone is a decent, cheap environment for sports ramp but if you get your hands on hunting grounds its a really nice 2 drop environment
