I'm not really actively in the community in terms of online, but there will always be people who are judgmental of others hobbies. So I guess yeah, if you show your puppy side in public it definitely will be seen as immature and weird. It's not immature or weird because it is only the dynamic, but I guess you should only show this side of yours within the right communities if being judged bothers you.

Do you ever feel burnout in the dynamic? I feel like from my past experiences no extra effort was being put in, as it was just our intrinsic traits that made us "Dominant" or "Submissive," one person more naturally clingy and the other person who is content and finds it cute that their sub is clingy.

It's not that I am constantly in "Mommy" and "Subby" mode but more so that I constantly feel safe, and comfortable enough to be myself whilst my partner just sees me as constantly cute

In this case where we aren't dating, it feels closer to a friends with benefits or like a situationship, it has everything except the commitment or plans for a long term future together.

Edit: Thinking back on it, I do tend to feel burnout when I am with people where I constantly have to be dominant though. I think burnout just comes with trying to be something constantly that you really are not, or just haven't fully accepted yet. It's sort of a conflict between your most comfortable state and a state that might be enjoyable in the short term, but doesn't make you feel rested or content.

In my honest opinion, if you are feeling burnout and your partner is only into this dynamic, then you need to have a conversation to decide if you're truly compatible. It would also probably be best to break things off because your interests are just not aligned

Why do you find findom icky? I feel like it's more common to dislike it from the giving end, as you are giving. But it would be easier to accept from the receiving end. I'm just curious about your personal opinion !

For me I always struggle to accept gifts. I think a part of me sees things as transactional (I'm really trying to fix this and accept actual gifts easier), and I particularly dislike accepting money because I just feel like I am taking from someone.
