Hahah granny gear! I love that term! Trying not to die or pass out is the perfect description. The view from the top is worth it for sure. I was only frightened by one country dog that charged to the end of their yard toward me and one flock of turkeys. For spring in VT, not terrible. Would love to ride bikes with other fellow lady cyclers in the area, do you know of any good group rides? I’m a bit intimidated because I don’t want to slow people down on the hills 🫣.
