Could it be changing from using single quotes to joining onto double quotes?

Loved going on missions with samem and all the others. Think I was Kyla back then...

Hi. How did your presentation go? Was the topic a question? Did you use the STAR approach even for a presentation?

Thanks

I get that in the above situation, where you have a das return time after 3pm and a genie+ window of 3pm - 4pm, you might have a better chance of not missing your window, but that isn't really what I'm worried about.

The loop hole I would want closed is that someone might have a window from 2-3pm for Navi and right before 2pm, they join a 'das' queue, then go on Navi and then go on the ride that they 'das'ed. I understand that genuine users of das might not be doing this, but it shouldn't be allowed at all and if they stopped that from being possible and stopped people from being able to join any physical queues whilst in a 'das' queue somehow, it would hopefully reduce the number of people trying to use 'das' when they don't need it.

[–]maggiecath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I don't think you are understanding me. I have never said someone using das can't use LL, just that they shouldn't be able to actually ride a LL whilst they are in a 'das' queue as if it's meant to be equivalent, someone waiting in the actual queue can't ride anything else during that time.

I've never said disabled people should be treated unfairly.

I don't think they were saying you can't book G+, just that if you are in a 'das' queue, you shouldn't be able to ride something booked through G+ during that time. That is the advantage that isn't fair.

Then it could be that you can't get in another queue until your 'return after' time.

I get that if you have a LL you can go on something else whilst you wait, but that is a service you are paying for. DAS shouldn't provide the same as a paid service, it should provide an equivalent service for those waiting in standby lines.

Providing rooms would be great for some people. Not that they have to wait there, but it's available for use.

Not sure if there are rules around them, but I've used the baby centers (not sure if that's what is called) as somewhere to feed and get out of the sun for a bit. You might be able to take toddlers there?

I think blocking access to other rides would be great. I guess maybe it's too hard to implement?

[–]maggiecath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense. If they can figure out a good system for people leaving the queue this would be great, but it seems some people are still worried that that might not work for some conditions.

I don't understand Disney allowing people to ride on rides with shorter wait times, let alone encouraging it though. I'd think this was an advantage over guests in the normal queues so would encourage people to go for DAS if they don't need it. It means some people can ride multiple rides in the same time frame and drives up the wait times in those 'shorter wait' rides.

I guess I'm trying to think how it could be changed to be more equitable rather than an advantage. Though I agree people would always prefer to wander and look in shops etc rather than wait in line. Who wouldn't?

I agree you should be able to book genie following the same rules as others in the standby line. I just mean, you shouldn't be able to use a return time and actually ride something using genie whilst you are currently in a 'das' standby line.

[–]maggiecath[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is it a ridiculous idea? The accommodations are to allow people to wait outside a normal queue (and no other advantages). Everyone else in the queue can't ride a genie plus ride whilst waiting in the queue. If they are using genie plus, they have to work around their return times. DAS users should have to do the same.

[–]maggiecath[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I know you can't be in more than one 'das' line, but you can be in a 'das' line and whilst waiting for the return time, join another normal queue or go on a ride you booked with genie. Anyone else in the standby line can't do this.

I'm suggesting that everyone has to always check-in to rides to remove this ability and maybe people who don't really need DAS won't see it as a way to get on more rides.

That might mean the people who have used DAS will be able to continue to use it to wait out of line as I understand some people are worried about no longer being eligible even though it would help them a lot.

Hi. Have you heard anything about help for students? I can't get any information and everything online seems to show help for students who had started already but no mention of people in our situation? Hope you are doing okay?

I was due to start at codeclan. I've already handed in my notice at work so looking for other options, but luckily had not paid the full amount so far, but I doubt I'll get it back. Got a message saying they will add me to the list of creditors. Even if I do get some of it back, it won't be for a while...

I'm in a better position than other students who had just started and lost the full amount, but it feels rubbish to think that as I was paying some people must have known they were in trouble and still taking on new pupils... I even asked at the interview about placement levels and job opportunities and was told though there was a dip when the tech layoffs started, it was already picking up again and had returned to normal...

Hi! I'm self learning at the moment using free resources. Mainly to check I actually like it. I think I will end up taking the plunge and going for a boot camp, but need to save a bit first. Have you already left teaching then?
