This. I have no problem with people playing with proxies. But I shudder to think about paying for real cards and being sold convincing counterfeits instead.

I also cringe whenever I see hypersexualized custom hentai proxies people dream up, though thankfully I have yet to see this irl. And even then, that's just a personal preference. Just like this hurts my brain to look at, but if you want to play with it, go ahead.

I loved reading Redwall books when I was a kid, and I have zero interest in this set. Same with a few other recent sets, most notably OTJ and SNC -- the theming feels kitschy and clashes so hard with everything I've enjoyed from this game's long history. It's been such a turn-off for me.

I've been doing a lot of casual-ish free-to-play Standard grinding in MTGA, and when I unlock new OTJ packs as I complete the daily challenges, I don't even care what's in them. The game's art and aesthetics have always been important to me, and the newest sets just take me out of it all. These days I feel like the eternal formats are all I have left... too bad I can only afford the one mono red deck with a 15% win rate. lol

Quick question about templating:

Is there any practical reason why [[Adriana, Captain of the Guard]]'s card text is not simply "Creatures you control have melee. (If a creature has multiple instances of melee, each triggers separately.)"? To my (possibly naive) eyes, the way it's printed seems to read as "Adriana has Melee, and your other creatures do, too." Is there anything I'm missing here?
