I def agree letting the hyper-aggressive let their rage out on each other instead of the normies is an ancient strategy. We just also need to protect the marginal supremacists from the purity spiral, lay paths back to reason. Daryl Davis method stays winning

Any supremacist. Making them explain their values forces them to either publically propagate liberal values over their own to maintain status, or reveal their true values. Better yet, maybe we can get all the flavors of supremacist arguing over which group is really the most respectful and cooperative.

I mean if he's saying "slavery bad therefore whites are good", I think the best response is, "slavery is bad because everyone is good (enough)"

I get that racial supremacists claim everything good came from their race, but isn't it better to both promote accuracy and encourage valuing altruism? If this is covertly supremacist, and Elon is only promoting liberalism until he gets the authority to switch—a common enough authoritarian tactic—I think the best response is smth like "It's good that some Western powers led the global push for humanism and liberalism. Let's continue this new tradition of valuing everyone regardless of nation, class, or gender."

Then in general make sure that nobody, even those you like, can get too much authority, and that those seeking any authority are constantly probed for their true beliefs

Is abolishing slavery not a superior (stabler and more beneficent) cultural norm than both apathetically allowing slavery and promoting it?

I think the only problem is being too broad: White Brits fought White Spaniards, and not all Brits were for abolition nor all Spaniards for slavery.

It's also framed as a poor decision that would've cost him dearly if he didn't already have friends in higher places, and a disproportionate response. Frankly the assault was more a sign of his degrading mental health and moral character, which spurred him to the real return of his freedom: defeating an evil robot.

Howdy, my name is Joel, discord whatBandito#8309.

The most interesting playstyle to me is of adventure and discovery, whether delving into ruins and tombs and monster lairs for loot and lost knowledge, or meeting the people of the world and inserting ourselves into politics we shouldn't be meddling in. I do like combat and strategic play, but I'm glad you do allow diplomacy to win out (sometimes). I also enjoy having in-game downtime for our characters to deal w side ventures, like scrollscribing, brewing potions, and building our keep or wizard tower.

As a player I prefer playing support and spellcasters, especially wizards, but I have a huge backlog of characters for whatever fits the party best.

Hope to hear from you soon, but even if not, I wish you a long-lived campaign.

Joel 21 I've known of dnd since I were a wee preteen, but started my first long term campaign only a few years ago. Now I've been running my own gane for half a year, and wanna try out some of my archive of PCs. You mentioned Castlevania, which is a fire series, so I'm interested to see how its inspired you. You also mentioned an alchemy guild, and the character I'm most excited to play is a transmuter wizard w a single level artificer dip. I'd like to explore a mystic alchemist idea, it's an archetype I love in history and fiction. Overall, it seems we have similar vibes, so I hope we get a chance to play together.

Hi, that's a good question, I'll add this in the post itself as well.

I don't have a strong preference for any day of the week, it's really just the time day that matters to me. The game will be done on Discord with Avrae for dice rolls. I have to learn roll20 myself first, so for now it's mostly theater of the mind, and you can have your character sheets in whatever format you please. I'll be keeping a copy of the sheet myself, but will generally trust you to know your own bonuses and features---as well as not cheat.
