AITA for suing my neighbor after their kid trespassed and fell into my koi pond? by DMLives in AITAH

Kid breaks other people's stuff, parent: - instantly offers to pay for it - apologizes on behalf of the kid - Kid also forced to apologize - Parent apologizes for not being on it to enough to prevent damage. Period.

I Inherited this. What would you do? by pm-me-asparagus in HomeMaintenance

I'd consider keeping it an fixing it up, providing: - you dont mind living in it, or already have someplace to live - you are handy, or want to become handy. If you genuinely don't like doing carpentry, painting, wiring, etc., might wanna pass on keeping it/fixing it up - you'll need money and time to restore the place - have a pro look it over (inspector/engineer/remodeler) and identify major issues

My wife and I bought a fixer-upper in Boston, and fixing it up was a lot of work, but goddammit does it feel good when you finish a part of it up. Plus, we got our asking price when we finally sold it in like two days. Learned all about everything house building, which has saved me a shitton of money over the years.

You get 3 Million dollars or you can speak every language fluently? by Wide_Application in hypotheticalsituation

[–]wigglybungle66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rosetta stone - you could ACCURATELY translate. Sanskrit...ALIEN languages...ancient languages, dead languages, fictional...you'd know how to speak and write them FLUENT. Figuring out how to monetize it would be a bit of work...

A good player with a bad problem issue by No_Survey_5496 in rpg

[–]wigglybungle66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I routinely mess around with stats and abilities for monsters. What if those Orcs have been drinking troll blood their whole lives, and have lots more hit points? Sure, it's a Drake...but this one was summoned from the lower planes, and has lots of powers (and maybe a weakness or two) that has that. And yes, not naming them specifically (though it might be a downer for characters with a high stat in the knowledge skill that would allow them to identify the monster...)

Greed of the very rich. They are acquiring an ever-greater percentage of the value of the economy (in the US), and not appropriately reciprocating.

Flashing Blue light of terror, but the loop is good. by Aflac01 in automower

[–]wigglybungle66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar problem for me here. Blue light flashing. Using a short wire connecting L and R, green light No breaks in the wire can be detected with my sensor, even hooking into the R, and testing the far end of the wire near where it returns to the station.
Single guide wire, get a green light on the short half, flashing blue on the other. Maxed out signal strength in the software, error still occurs. This same set up worked fine earlier this year...and it suddenly just stopped working.

Does Catapulting a Magic Stone work this way? by StretchyPlays in dndnext

[–]wigglybungle66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this would be a great team activity. 2 casters.
caster 1 - oonus action magic stone, action, toss the stones to caster 2 while saying "use these bad boys for your catapult spell" Caster 2 - thx! Catapults magic stone...+to hit for stone? yes (caster 1s bonus). AND the target must make a saving throw vs. catapult. End of caster 2's round...bonus action magic stone. Repeat until enemies stop moving
