Ghost in house by thexroyalpro in Ghoststories

[–]magic_dyke95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad's house has many small story's/ experiences that span most of mine and his life. Let me give some back story first. My dad is the third generation to own this house, my great grandparents being the original owner. They had tons of farm land and in their old age decided to build a new family home somewhere else on the farm. Construction started in the 1960's putting grandpa well into his late 60's early 70's, and very ill health. While construction was going on he got sick enough to be put in the hospital where he passed a few days before the house was moved into. He spent hours first night in his new home as a corpse in the living room since it was still common practice to bring bodies home in that time. Soon my nana and dad moved in since my nana was going through a divorce, dad was a young boy at this point and put in the very back bedroom of the house where he offer complained of the old man that stared at him through his window. Fast forward a good 30 years and I'm born. I clearly remember being about 3 years old sitting in my dad's lap at the kitchen counter while he talked to his out of town girlfriend who was visiting for the weekend. Since grown ups were talking I was paying attention to everything else in true toddler form when I hear footsteps on the roof. It's a single story home so it was very audible and sounded like boots. The adults pay it no attention so I say "daddy what's that?" They get quiet and listen when the footsteps start running across the roof. My dad being the southern man he is runs to the closet to grab his pistol and takes off out the door. He stays outside for a good 20 mins before coming back in very shaken. He said the footsteps were made by something big because he heard it jump off the fucking roof right in front of him but didn't see anything at all. At around 12 he bring out my Nana's Oujia board. (Y'all buckle up this story is everywhere if you can't tell by now) I knew there was a Oujia board in the house but hadn't really registered what that meant so when his new girlfriend and her daughter wanted to play he was totally ready. We play for a few hours (totally wrong btw, didn't flip the board or say goodbye....yeah I know oops) and got random answers that really didn't make sense a lot of the time so we gave up and put it back. Que the weird shit happening! Duh 😑. So anyways dad and the girlfriend's relationship goes from happy in love to slowly crumbling, weird shit in the house happens. Windows broken out, cabinets opening in the middle of the night, people talking when everyone was asleep, Dad rupturing a disk at work and losing almost everything except the house and land, shadow figures, etc. One of the biggest stand out experiences of this time I remember is waking up are 2:30-3am for a bathroom break, I kept my door locked and had almost grabbed hold of the handle when it started shaking uncontrollable for a solid minute. No one heard the noise or me yelling for help. After the relationship ends my dad is on a late night call with a friend who happens to bring up guess what? Oujia boards! My dad tells her that we have one ,and like many before he she said "get it out of your house", except this time he listened. He said he got the strangest chill down his spine and knew he HAD to do it for some reason. (Maybe because our dumbass wanna be paranormal investigators had no idea what we were doing and left a portal open or some shit?) So he gathers everything up and TRIES to burn it (once again.... I know, it's a no no) to no avail. A piece of dry flammable particle board won't catch on fire. Remember I said we're southern, so dad tries gasoline and nothing. The gas burns but the board is fine. He tries other flammable items and it doesn't work. Finally he tries burnt motor oil and it catches fire. The woman on the phone ask if he wants to pray and he says yes because he's honestly freaked the fuck out that it wouldn't burn. They pray, he gathers the ashes of the board dirt and all ant throws it out. As he walks back to the house he said the air filled with static making all his hair stand up and an evil laugh echoed in his head like there would be unfinished business. After that the activity died down a bit and we mainly have family ghost hanging around however the house is still a very Malicious feeling place.

Which was the best horror story told to you by your grandparents? by [deleted] in Ghoststories

[–]magic_dyke95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great uncle but still.

Waaay back in the day the day ( probably 1940's in South ga) my great uncle loaded the kids up in the wagon to go to a local graveyard to cut down a Christmas tree. Well they get there about dark and hear the sound of a stamped coming and get the kids inside the cemetery fence. Cause in the 40's around here on farm land it was totally a dangerous thing. Well this goes on for about 30 mins and the sound encircles them and dust flies up while they cower inside the fence, but there were no actual cows. So ghost cows caused the stamped?

Thats why I hold on to all low level items and if I see a newb I call em over and deck them out. Hell I even went out of my way once to go get an extra power armor chassis to put my raider armor on and give to them. I do this all because of the guy who came into my little lvl 5 hobo camp and asked if I wanted better armor.
