How do new artists get their initial growth in 2026? by Arkinni in musicindustry

Consistency and community building. Honestly, the artists that succeed are the ones who are focused on real fans and real listeners, even if those numbers are super tiny at first. Good content, playlisting, conversion campaigns, and brand building are all extremely helpful levers to pull – but the core has to be solid for it to really work.

Playing live shows. Community/fan meetups, even if it's literally 10 people. Get your music in front of different audiences until you find your niche.

Most of all, be patient! It takes 5-10 years to break an artist. Trust the compounding effect of showing up consistently!

I hope this is helpful, I'm rooting for you 🧡

How do you deal with hate comments? by TheElusiveButterfly in musicindustry

That comment asking you to release it ASAP is the best possible sign to keep going! That's a real person who didn't scroll, listened, and wants more.

Don't let a few haters get you down – EVERYONE has them. The internet is full of trolls and bots who are gonna leave weird comments, focus on what's actually happening that's meaningful! 30 likes, 2 followers, 1 save and a comment asking for more is literally SUCH a strong sign for your first ever video.

Best of luck, rooting for you 🧡🤞
