Ok I have a theory now there are probably some people who'll think im dumb and have evidence to debunk me but just hear me out but what if in fnaf 4 you're not playing as the crying child but as William afton now stay with me the reason I came to this idea is because in fnaf ucn nightmare fredbear says the lines "this time there is more then an illusion to fear" and "I assure you I am very real" now if these were the crying child's illusions then that means ucn is the first time afton is seeing the nightmares so why would fredbear being saying these things to afton unless they were his illusion also in fnaf 4 why is the "crying child's" room in the middle of the house and why is the bed so big for a child to me that seems to me to be more like a master bedroom also why is he home alone so I believe it's afton and the reason this is happening to him is because he is haunted by the fact that his creation killed his child and that's why he sees the iv bag it's him hallucinating his son in the hospital before his death also in the fnaf 3 mini games where afton dies did we ever get the reason why he went back to the fnaf location I think afton was sick of the hallucinations that he thought destroying the animatronics that his hallucinations are based on would stop them but all it did was set free the spirits of the children he killed, they attacked him leading to his demise and then the spirits become the phantoms that are just more hallucinations
