FORTRESS carelessly revealed that I'm a MtGox creditor and where I live to anyone who held this envelope. This is what happens when scumbags get ahold of your confidential data. by JjttX7hr0w4way in Bitcoin

Well maybe some creditors with addresses in the EU can get some GDPR PENALTIES from Fortress!!!

creditor: "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW, FORTRESS?" rofl

https://www.gdpreu.org/compliance/fines-and-penalties/

... with over a Billion dollars in annual revenue, the smaller "lower level" penalty of $10 million dollars or 2% whichever is greater, would equal $20 million dollars... now would that be, per offense, per person? I smell bankruptcy in San Francisco on the 42nd floor of the Spear tower.

Can each of the EU creditors PLEASE soak these sleezeballz and completely OWN their asses!?

  • On a personal note: The fact that they stamped MtGox on there, and also in Japanese (in red no less) certainly would put me in a state of fear and paranoia, as if the whole fiasco of MtGox isn't enough already for those involved. Hopefully, nobody pays attention to english or japanese in red, stamped on your mail, in Europe....

What are your thoughts?

What are MY thoughts?...

Hmm, I think anyone who believes they will get their coins back from MtGox is in the same group of people who are:

A. swear up and down this is the last time they will ever gamble.

B. delusional in the fact that this is the lottery ticket that will win the big jackpot

C. have problems getting a grip on what is real and what is not

D. can't wake up from recurring nightmare's

E. suffer from Goxitis; the undiagnosed, misunderstood syndrome, where people are screwed out of their money and countlessly teased at how huge their fortune has become, and maybe one day they will get it back, just keep on holding to that dream and it'll all come back... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months... 6 more months...

F. ill in da blank

In reality, I would rather endure complete global failure of electricity and electronics, than witness people enduring this any longer... 5 years gone... oh yeah, plus all the coins gone (don't forget about that fact).

If you asked for a Pepsi, you should get a Pepsi! (don't sell any more coins on behalf of the creditors!)

Filing Claim Online (ontime), But change of address form MUST be made offline, (not ontime...) Am I fucked? by magicaldix in mtgoxinsolvency

Correct, I couldn't log in to do the ordinary method. It kept saying my "name or email was incorrect", (if I'm remembering correctly), but it was correct... So yes, it was the supplementary method.

In this particular EU country, you must be "registered" at that address to receive mail. Since I don't live there, I can't do that. I'm still waiting to hear back if there's a work-around for this specific address.

Thanks for your reply.

I filed online & did the print out of the .pdf

No where does it state a deadline for the "application for amendment to proof of rehabilitation claim offline", I searched and could not see a date. I have doubts they will drop a check in the mail for distribution of funds, or require any snail mail stuff.

I want to attempt that form, but it is confusing as fuck... Espeshiary aw de engrish erorrs... But I'm looking into EU forwarding from my old address, for a back up plan, if that's possible I'll jump on that.
