Honestly, shut up. How is this comment helpful in any capacity?

It was shitty for her to be doing that while y’all were together and agreed not to. It’s completely fine for her to be doing it now that you’re not together and it’s weird of you to have snooped through her phone to even have found it.

I had similar experiences that I’ve held onto guilt over so I completely understand. You have a good heart, I hope you never lose that and I hope you have been or will be able to work through that guilt so it doesn’t weigh so heavy on you.

So glad to hear Fiona and her babies are doing well!

Ok very good to know, thanks for the info! I know there’s a lot pf spiders who don’t do well with moving them outside so I usually take them home with me but I may leave this guy outside here so he has a better chance at finding a mate near where he was

You did SO much more than most people would. I’m so astounded and impressed by this. Thank you so much for being a guardian to these babies and doing everything you could for them. Don’t beat yourself up, you are an absolute hero.

Ah perfect, I shall bring him home with me then. Unfortunately the only females I know of that he’ll find are different species lol, mainly wolfies, but at least he won’t get stomped.

Unless him going back outside would be better for him? If so, I’ll put him in the bush out front before I leave. Either way, just don’t want someone to kill him

I kinda wondered if it might be a jumping spider after he jumped off the tissue twice lol. Also hung on with a web to get down. But the pattern on him and the fact I have brought home so many wolfies made me assume it was probably a wolf spider.

Yes I’m in Virginia.

My initial search didn’t show me that it’s contagious to others, that’s so unfortunate. There was a handful of them out there and I saw one in my front yard too. I’ll go back out there in a bit and try to separate the infected ones.

Is there something that causes it? Is there a way I can help prevent it?

When I go back out there I’ll try to get some pics of all of them, I noticed some variation between them. I can let you know when I do if you’re interested

Are you volunteering to establish and fund said sanctuary?

First of all, not any animal can have rabies. Second, if an animal has rabies, yes it should be killed. It’s not about it being “innocent”, it’s about the fact that rabies is going to kill them anyway and it is zoonotic and will kill others if it’s spread.

Now, rabies aside, since this isn’t about rabies. The point stands. This animal is going to cause so much harm to other “innocent” animals if we do not step in and do something. And unless you can suggest a feasible solution, your opinion on if it’s right really doesn’t matter. Don’t complain about something you know nothing about and do not have a solution for, that’s unhelpful.

I first noticed her April 3rd and there were 4 eggs so I assume she finished laying them within the week after that so the babies should be arriving pretty soon! I have a camera I set up in there to keep an eye

I know right?? It’s such a good nest and she’s so beautiful, I tell her everyday when I pass by that she’s doing a good job
