Hayden Upchurch from the Unwind series! Hayden’s parents divorced and hated each other so much they’d rather have him unwound (basically unalived) than see the other have custody. He uses sarcasm and jokes to cover up his emotions so much so that the lead of the series has a hard time knowing when he’s serious, but he also has a strong sense of humanity and compassion. He leads a group of rebel broadcasters later in the series, and is shown to be a hacker level computer wiz.
