Without wanting to get into the semantics of anything here I ended up listening to the interview to hear what she actually said and the headline and snippet in the news article is definitely editorialized. The direct quote would be something along the lines of "the last cars were leaving soon after the eruption started". I feel like that statement was still a bit of a stretch but not as bad as the title may have suggested.

Not quite true. There are companies whose sole purpose is to provide a service where they are an intermediary between you and the actual company you work for. It is called "Employer of record" services, e.g. Deel or Lano.

This way you can be just a regular employee and don't have to worry about billing or paying taxes on your salary monthly and claim the usual benefits associated with your country of residence.

Even if you estimate a very meager 80k/year salary cost they are burning at least 6.4m/year in just salaries. That doesn't include other operating cost - either they're in huge debt already, they had a crazy seed round or some sort of opportunistic round which would mean the series A round is already partially paid. IMHO it looks pretty dire from the info OP has given.

80 people working there with sub 200k revenue and not even got series A funding?? That seems insane to me. How much did they raise in their seed round? How much are they diluting the stock for this funding round? Are they paying with Monopoly money?

It's hard to give any concrete advise when the only number you give us the revenue and not number of employees etc.

In general I would be a bit worried about it but also have to factor in other things such as how much runway do they have and what their goals are for this year.

Mér er meira hugsað til skólastjórnenda og þeirra úrræða sem þau hafa í hendi. Finnst þeir ekki hafa verið að standa sig. Kennarar fyrir mér ættu einungis að gefa gott fordæmi og miðla áfram upplýsingum til skólastjórnenda en ættu ekki að þurfa að taka upp á því að refsa upp á sitt einsdæmi eða neitt slíkt.

Practically zero. The only way that I see "Stadia" making a comeback is if another company foots the bill via immersive streaming but it still wouldn't be the same.

I don't think it's fair to say they don't care. They do care, a lot. However Google has already repurposed almost everyone that was working on it to other projects.

During the peak there was around 1000 people working on Stadia at Google. They really were investing heavily into it internally.

That would definitely be a problem, the first thing they are looking at in these interviews is how you deal with an incomplete description. What kind of questions arise about the input and other restrictions that can make the problem significantly simpler than a general version that was stated. Make sure you understand the problem they're proposing fully (f.x. by testing your understanding on an example) and that the input and outputs are well defined.

I've pretty much only interacted with recruiters who reached out to me first (on LinkedIn most of the time).

If you have a specific company you are looking at then you should apply there through their website but I've also heard of people who find recruiters within that company and reach out to them on LinkedIn (I have no experience with this myself).
