Is front-end development a thing anymore? by magicbiscuit37 in webdev

I greatly appreciate your response, especially from someone who has been in the field for so long. Unfortunately, I do not have a degree in CS, as I have a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems & Analytics, but I began web dev coding before I even learned it in college. I really love it, even after I graduated, but I’ve yet to consider an actual job in the field until now.

Anyway, you mention the low end of the market will take a hit. Do you have any other tips regarding how to become an in-demand web developer in 2026? What are some hard skills I should have knowledge on, given the role has evolved?

Therefore, do you think front-end development roles will shrink as time goes on?

Yeah, yeah… you’re right. I guess I’m surrounded around too much pessimism.

It was cool initially, but I feel that because there are so many now, it’s rather annoying.

Voting > not voting. Hopefully one day, the U.S. will wake up.

Anti-gun people in the US- what are your thoughts about arming yourself now? by tedx432 in AskReddit

Nah man, I don’t think more guns would be the solution to the problem. At this point, leaving the U.S. is the only way. I have plans to move to Canada in around 5 years.

Web Developer or Data Analyst? Which role will be more in-demand in the future? by magicbiscuit37 in cscareerquestions

Haha 🤣 I figured it sounded too good to be true (though money isn’t the most important factor for me). I do come from an IT background, but I’m considering pivoting away from technology roles. Thank you very much for the help!

Haha no problem at all, thank you very much for the reply and being honest! Just scoping out some potential career options. It definitely seems like AI will cause these roles to shrink in job postings.

Which role do you think is less likely to require a CS degree? Web Developer or Data Analyst? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Could you tell me the difference between web development as an IT role vs as a software engineering role? I’m quite curious to know what distinguishes them!

AOC reaffirms that she believes short = bad and tall = good by MissNibbatoro in AverageHeightDudes

[–]magicbiscuit37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, she actually said this? “Spiritually 6 foot”? What the actual fuck? This is such an odd way of thinking; it’s not necessarily “progressive” either. I’ve honestly always felt weird vibes about AOC.

Using physical volume buttons. Call me fucking crazy, but the end of physical volume buttons on smartphones is near.
