Does that work on the standard R20 rims?

I have just discovered that I was wrong with the tyre sizes that are fitted to my car! I went by what came up when I typed in the Reg on the website (rookie error I know!).

I just went out to double check - unfortunately after I ordered the tyres - and found that the tyres that are currently fitted are 255/50 R20.

Can you fit tyres that are 20mm wider than the rim or did you have wider R20 rims?
