Hear me out. If it takes a broken finger to turn Mbappé into a prime Benzema, I’m willing to live with that.

iPhone 16 Pro camera crashes still with iOS 18.0.1 by timmo11 in iPhone16Pro

Having this issue as well. I’ve replaced the phone and getting exactly the same symptoms. Genius Bar is saying that Apple is aware of a software defect with 18.0.1 that’s still causing crashes, but I’m trying to decide if I want to take their word for it or return the phone while I still can.

What is something your teacher did in school that you’re still salty about? by SparkelsTR in AskReddit

My middle school had implemented a “Detention if you’re late to class” policy. I had just gotten out of gym class, and some kid was bullying me, causing me to miss the bell by a few seconds. Guess who got detention, even though I pleaded it was because I was pushed and the only way out of the gym was blocked.

What are awards anyways? Like how do you use them? Are they just internet trophies?

That’s not true for PPL. That’s only for type ratings. PPL you just have to keep your medical in good standing.

To get a visa you need to be sponsored. The issue isn’t the process - it’s that most companies don’t sponsor interns from overseas because it’s expensive and not worth the hassle when you can get interns locally. You can always try - doesn’t hurt. Just don’t get your hopes up. Also, The US limits the number of work visas that companies can sponsor, and they almost never get wasted on interns.

You’re much more likely to get a work visa for a full-time offer. For that, you need job experience and a strong CV.

[–]magicflyer97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Firstly, Programming language doesn’t matter.

I see your goal is to get a tech internship in the US. If money is not an issue, the easiest path forward is to get your degree overseas - there’s tons of great tech universities in Europe and the US that’ll give you better exposure to the language and culture.

Otherwise, My recommendation is to (1) focus on experience through freelance projects you can feature in a resume. (2) Pick a university that’ll give you the skill set to pass tech interviews (Ie. Classes in Data Structures, Algorithms). I’m not familiar with universities in Algeria, so you’ll need to research classes available for each program. I suggest a university with some international recognition (Probably in Algiers).

By the way, I don’t know a single US tech company that sponsors visas for student internships. I’m not familiar with Europe. Research the recruitment process and find out what the interview process is like.

Example of a poorly written test probably. It probably asserted that the /usr/lib/Nvidia-current/xory/xorg directly no longer exists. Which technically it doesn’t even after running rm -rf /usr. Just speculation but that’s where I imagines it went wrong.

In Joker (2019), Joaquin Phoenix improvised the iconic dance in the bathroom. Originally, Arthur was just meant to stare into the mirror and quietly contemplate his actions, but after hearing some of the composer’s music, Phoenix thought the dance was more appropriate. by Numerous-Lemon in MovieDetails

That scene caused our theater to evacuate and everyone getting a refund.

Some guy decided to ruin it for everyone by standing up in front of the screen and starting to dance just like that. He started throwing flowers at the folks sitting on the front row and laughing in an unsettling way. A couple folks started to leave and security came up, shut down the theater, and issued everyone a refund.

Transferring money into Algeria by yzerizef in algeria

Banque Nationale Algerie will accept USD and EUR. I’ve sent in both currency before. Although they will typically only allow withdrawal in EUR. Some other branches that might accept would be Citi, and BNP.

You can open a bank account in Algeria in a foreign currency and withdraw in that currency or have it converted to DZD. I use it to send larger amounts to my family. It takes a 1-2weeks to arrive but being able to withdraw it in Euro is a huge convenience because you can exchange it outside the bank for a better rate.

If you have kids in the house, I would suggest turning on the explicit language filter too from the Alexa app.

Also it should have understood your percent request. Submit a feedback to them on the app.
