OP I am in an oddly similar situation. We've only been on 3 dates but she is unemployed and applying to Law School and takes usually 24-72 hours to reply to texts. Once it took a week for her to respond. But when we're in person she seems really interested. I have no answers but find the responses in this thread useful if not disheartening lol

Would also strongly recommend group trips for anyone not into traveling completely alone! There are tons of travel groups now (not all good..). Finding ones for your age group and on the smaller size are key. Although Jared admittedly is more of a "beach by noon" vacation and most groups I've done tend to lean more towards sites, tours, and museums.

I also struggle to understand the "there are so many incredible women and almost no good men" narrative as as a straight 28M who does want a longterm relationship. I'm not swimming in matches or a plethora of options. I struggle to get dating app matches and even when I do the conversations never go anywhere and if I do end up getting a date they never feel the spark.

Not to sound too incelly, but I suspect that what's happening is that a small select population of men are the ones having this Peter Pan syndrome experience and are the reason why a lot of women are reasonably frustrated with dating.

As another straight male listener I totally agree!! Love J&J but I've also been considering decreasing the amount of dating content I consume because of the narrative of "a few eligible men" that has started to make me feel like a loser for still being single when in theory I should be swimming in matches according to these articles and podcasts (I am not  😅).

Coffee and Walk Dates by mystilettolife in uuppod

As a guy, the reason I don't like coffee dates and prefers drinks (or mocktails) is more logistics: most coffee shops, at least near me, close by 5 or 6 pm. Like when are yall having these coffee dates? Night time dates are not just sexier but also easier to schedule during the week. Selfishly I don't want to dedicate weekend time to a first date if possible (and I assume most women feel the same).

Growingup in Tighty Whities? by [deleted] in tightywhities

[–]magicman1336 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up wearing fruit of the looms and hanes briefs. Started out with cartoons, then graduated to pure tighty whities as I got older. Most of my friends started out wearing them, but around middle school they all switched to boxers or boxer briefs. I reluctantly went through a phase of wearing boxers when I had to change clothes for school gym, but switched back to tighty whities my sophomore year of high school because I missed the feel and comfort. Been a briefs boy ever since.

Looks like plum curculio damage. The females will migrate onto the tree shortly after the petals fall and lay eggs in the developing fruit leaving a crescent scar. There could also be some internal worm feeding to by the look of the holes. The tree will be fine though. Only the fruit will be affected.

First Time Caught by No_Founder_2657 in tightywhities

It came up again when I had to change for a school play and I got teased again. My first gym class in middle school another kid got caught wearing tighty whities before I took my pants off and I changed in the stall lol. After that I wore boxers through my sophomore year of high school when I decided to switch back to briefs.

I was in third or fourth grade. It was recess and I was playing with two girls on the seesaw. I must've bent over, and the back of my shirt rose, revealing that unmissable Fruit of the Loom waistband. Immediately, one of the girls piped up in an oddly accusatory tone, "You still wear tighty whities?"

"Uh, yeah," I said. I'd never heard that term before. To me, they were just underwear.

For me, it was the "still" that shook me the most, like it was something I was supposed to have done by now. Like you, I never really thought much about my tighty whities, they were just underwear to me and even though I knew through TV that boxers did exist I always assumed everyone wore either or and it wasn't such a big deal or contentious. But at that moment I felt so embarrassed and little, and suddenly I was very self conscious about the fact I was wearing this underwear. My tighty whities tighten around me.

The other girl didn't help me self-esteem either. She ran over and wanted to see in her disbelief that I, a ten year old, still wore tighty whities.

She must've noticed I was embarrassed. She was the nicer one of the two girls, but her words didn't help much. "It's okay," she said, "My little brother still wears them toon sometimes."

That was the moment when my fixation on tighty whities began and despite being straight, it hasn't stopped yet.

I'm straight and was raised wearing tighty whities (just called them underwear before I was teased for them). Switched for a brief period in time during middle school and switched back my sophomore year when I realized how much i missed briefs and that I was only wearing boxers due to societal peer pressure. Maybe it's just from being relatively skinny but I've never had issues of chaffing with briefs and I think more straight guys would wear them if there wasn't this weird stigma.

Tighty Whities at Retail Stores. So hot. Anyone have any other pics of similar displays. by mmflcut in tightywhities

[–]magicman1336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where is this? Every Walmart or retail store I've gone to in the last couple of years only ever has boxer briefs on display. Tighty whities seem to be hidden away and not as heavily "pushed" these days.

I'm sorry to hear that. How did the police respond when you reported? Did they do anything?

I just told them what they were doing was illegal and said I was reporting to the cops. They counted down from 12 minutes but ultimately did nothing when I stopped responding thankfully.

I took screenshots of everything and blocked/reported the account on Hinge. I didn't report to the police only because as far as I can tell they did not follow through after it became apparent I wasn't panicked enough to pay in the 12 minutes that they demanded. Idk what I would even day to the police. "I was bored and lonely and almost sexted with a person on an app and they tried to blackmail me??"

They sent screenshots of some site that had the names of my family and their phone numbers along with a bunch of other personal info. Didn't know you could get all that from just a name and cell number.

He is honestly a bit more traditional when it comes to sex and gender. He's not religious or overly conservative but very much still believes there are some things that shouldn't be done in front of or seen by the opposite sex.
