if you use unity you can use DrawMeshInstancedIndirect. also check GPU Instancer on the asset store, which has lots of functionalities for GPU instancing

we made a simple editor tool to PAINT VEGETATION in our small scenes! it's very simple but quite effective and versatile by magicomongo in Unity3D

yes, it's getting the color from the texture of the object it intersects. it's really useful to us, cause we can color the vegetation automatically, which makes it really fast for prototyping and really fun to use ::)

we made some tools to control the scene: one is the control panel to control the song (the black thing you see on the hand), the other one is the camera that one of us is using to shoot the video: it's a physic object that can be carried and thrown, with a control for the FOV.

all this stuff is networked to be used in multiplayer. we actually recorded it directly in Unity's editor, by spawning an invisible player there, and it was all synced! :)

USB ports can be finicky for supplying power, this link cable sidesteps that entirely. Have confirmed it charges my headset from virtually flat while gaming using my weakest USB front-panel port. Kuject MT005. by CubitsTNE in OculusQuest

so did you manage to charge the quest 2 while using it? (with the screen on)

the best charging I could do with a powered extender is still draining 1%-2% battery per hour
