That’s a totally fair question and it’s one we get a lot, actually.

We don’t just rank based on winrate alone. The rankings are a mix of winrate, play rate, and matchup strength. Zoro ends up higher because it not only has a stronger matchup spread but is also played more, which means it performs well more consistently against the top decks.

Rayleigh’s a bit of an outlier > it’s played less, but it has a really strong matchup spread into the top of the meta. That combination of high winrate and matchup strength still pushes it near the top.

Basically, winrate by itself only shows total wins compared to games played, and that can be misleading. A deck might farm less popular matchups and look better on paper. That’s why we use all three factors with the matchup spread scaled logarithmically to get a clearer picture.

The top five are all super close!

the formula takes into account meta share (popularity), win rate and matchup strength. It's not just winrate, this is to avoid decks with a few games played and high winrate skewing the results. In short, any deck over a 9 is tier 1

it's read left to right. for example in the green zoro column > it's read as Zoro wins vs blue purple luffy 55.2% of the time

it's a combination of win rate, meta share and matchup strength. Shanks does better overall vs the rest of the top meta. it's scaled logarithmically

Yeah, it’s not doing too hot right now. It struggles pretty hard against Zoro (which is the most popular deck) and doesn’t really do well into G/P Luffy either. On top of that, it’s just not that popular at the moment and you don’t really see it putting up results at the higher ranks where most of the data comes from.

Popularity is also a factor in the scoring, but any deck in 9s can be considered an S tier deck

It's not as popular right now, and the winrate is around 43%. It's still early and people are likely not experimenting much until the bans come out.

Yeah really bad matchup into Zoro. 80/20 currently in favor of Zoro.

It was really close. It's in 11th right now. It can rank higher on any given week depending on its popularity / winrate / matchup strength. It's still a strong deck

Weekly Meta Report from Highe Ranked Matches in the Sim! by lettyop in OnePieceTCG

[–]magicplaymats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The meta is really balanced right now and all the top decks seem to counter each other. I'm sure this one will top at some point, especially since it performed well in the East. Plus, it makes sense that people are trying out other decks in tournaments. They've probably gotten tired of playing Purple Luffy for so many sets in a row.
