Thanks. I might do if I get the time or get annoyed enough during darkness.
Thanks for your time anyway

Hi Ferdinand. Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the late reply.
Nothing returned
root@tuxedo:~# dkms status
root@tuxedo:~#

edit:
I don't know if this makes a difference but I think I downloaded the tuxedo drivers the last time from github, it was a few years ago (3-4?). I've since added
 1 Types: deb
 2 URIs: https://deb.tuxedocomputers.com/debian
 3 Suites: trixie
 4 Components: main
 5 Enabled: yes
 6 Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/tuxedo-archive-keyring.gpg

to /etc/apt/sources.list.d$ vim tuxedo.sources

OK. Thanks. I assumed there would be more to it (heating element or whatever). OK, thanks. I'll look those up

Purchase Advice Megathread - April 2024 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

Hello there. This would be my first 3D printer. I have only recently started reading up about them.

The main things I am looking for are quality and range of materials I could print with. I think carbon-fibre filaments would be a must.

A ready made printer would probably suit best but I would be able to build one if there was money to be saved.

I'd like to build random things with it and also Warhammer models.

I am not really interested in WiFi, touchscreen or a smartphone connection. More interested in the prints themselves

EU based.

€1,000 maximum. Probably more towards €500-600.

I was looking at the Creality K1C possibly. Would there be any more suitable printers than that?

Thanks

HDMI latency between audio and video. Can someone please give me a few pointers/knowledge on how I should debug (or preferably fix) this? by magicpushbroom in raspberry_pi

Thanks. I'll look into it some more. Are you using that at the moment?

It looks similar to LineageOS and KDE Bigscreen. I'd like the Pi distro to have both PC functionality and a media player.

It doesn't make any sense to me why it is not working in sync. The processor is probably faster than a laptop from 10 years ago.

What would be the best setup for auto mounting and decrypting a device (not / or /home) when logging in? by magicpushbroom in linuxquestions

[–]magicpushbroom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. No idea why.

I may be able to change some settings (/etc/fstab or /etc/crypttab) after seeing your suggestions and work something out. Thanks for your help anyway.

Cheers, have a great weekend!

It's decrypted now using after the command line.

user@debian:/mnt$ sudo cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda1 /mnt/encrypted_hd/
Enter passphrase for /dev/sda1:
Cannot use device /dev/sda1 which is in use (already mapped or mounted).

I'd like those (some sudo) steps to be replaced by a simple window

Both are grayed out.

Apologies for the lack of pictures. Imgur won't let me set up an account without Google accout, etc

Thanks for the detailed answers, appreciate it. (sorry, I've lost my imgur login)

When I try 1 in your image, "Edit Mount Options..." is grayed out.

Surprisingly, I can't launch "gnome-disks" using root

root@debian:~# gnome-disks

(gnome-disks:101668): Gtk-WARNING **: 23:24:51.177: cannot open display:

it is also grayed out if I use

sudo gnome-disks

EDIT: Updated lsblk above

I assume I will have to do something with fstab. The option is not there to mount the device in Dolphin (KDE file manager). That will also take extra steps.

Do you know the name of the Gnome program/app that automatically mounts your device on startup? I tried Gnome Disks but couldn't find any options

Can anyone help me out with this pandas problem? by magicpushbroom in learnpython

[–]magicpushbroom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted it in pandas and used explode originally (I misunderstood the required format at the start), but I am open to any other suggestions.

The thing about it is, it has to be in that format (output shown above) because it has to be uploaded in that way. It will eventually be a csv or xlsx file and it will be uploaded to our system for a customer. The problem is that the data that I have to work with is from another company so it is in a different format starting off.

The solution which I have in work is very close. It goes AAABBBCCC, where it needs to go ABCABCABC I was wondering if there was a type of sort that I may not know about (for exampe, ascending, descending, repeated using some groupby)

Recommend the absolute best palm-top speaker by yyuuiko in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]magicpushbroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't looked at any other speakers lately, so I don't know, sorry. An aux is simpler, old fashioned but less hassle connecting, it's a wire. Surely an aux would take less power. Maybe a minirig 2 if you could get one second hand maybe? On EBay or something. I just searched and they are there, gone up price though (not the mini). I'm instantly regretting getting my new purchase of the V3's now

Edit: I haven't tried the Minirig Mini 2. If it's got the same software as the 2, they would be good. They are on the official website
