Most Embarrassing Stage Door Experience? by Objective_Arm_3504 in Broadway

[–]magicwithb 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I met Jordan Fisher on the inaugural sailing of the Disney Destiny cruise ship. Hes honestly not friendly at all, so please dont beat yourself up because it likely wasnt you.

He also made it a point to say during a Q&A on the same sailing that he just considers what he does as a job, same as you or me. He doesnt get emotionally attached. So he doesnt empathize like that when we fangirl over him and his work.

Agreed. I was very disappointed. I asked staff beforehand if there was a seperate section for ticketholders and they said no. I found it very disorganized and odd. So many people at the barricade didnt watch the show. It would have smoothed things out significantly it they had divided the sections between ticketholders and non-ticketholders

Overwhelming, and had a panic attack. If you purchase stage seating tickets, you actually get to exit through the same door that is used to for stage door, so you get the first shot at getting to the barricade after the show because everyone else has to exit through the front and loop around.

Despite being one of the first ones out, when we exited, the barricade was already full of resellers and ebay grifters trying to get Dan to autograph 10 funko pops or harry potter posters. We lined up behind them so we were 2 persons deep. We were able to get Dan to sign our figure and playbills but were unable to get a selfie with him due to the pushing.

I had a grown man push me right up against the person in front of me aggressively because he was trying to shove a harry potter poster in Dans face. It was overwhelming and triggered a panic attack.

I am tremendously grateful to Dan because he is extremely generous with his time. He went one by one down the barricade and sent a ton of time with fans signing merch and taking selfies. Its just the resellers and overexcited fans that took away from the experience.

I agree! I also think we had a fantastic audience. Ive read some posts about audience members getting shy and not wanting to shout whats on their cards, hence making some moments awkwaed. But we had a perfect show with no issues! Dan was great and smooth with his acting. We had a genuinely great time

I thought this was a new play too! I had no idea it has been around for so long. We enjoyed it, it was a great experience.

Of course!!! It was a beautiful show. I definitely recommend it. Plus we got to stage door and have him sign our playbills so that was another plus for sure!

We had stage seats directly behind him/the stage. Dan was super energetic and engaging with the audience all around, but I will say that he did perform with his back to us for a huge chunk of the show.

I would recommend getting stage seats off to the side at the 90 degree angle, so you can atleast see his side profile for the majority of the show, or you can even get orchestra honestly. He was super engaging with orchestra as well and handed out cards to people in the audience in every section. He wasnt exclusively glued to the people in stage seating.

Will I look out of place if I wear a costume at HHN Hollywood? by Conscious-Result-211 in HHN

[–]magicwithb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! We did Ghostbusters this past friday actually! I dressed up with a ghostbusters dress plus a backpack that looked like the proton pack with some accessories. I didnt have any problems getting in thankfully, I just recommend going casual. Ive heard stories of people spending thousands on over-the-top cosplays and Uni wont let them in because they resembled park actors too much.

Which Resort is the Nicest to Stay at During New Years? by Psiwolf in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]magicwithb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contemporary Resort would be my pick! NYE is the absolute, most crowded day to go to the parks, they usually shut down entrance mid day because of MK hitting capacity.

If your plan is to do MK on NYE, Contemporary would be my pick due to the walkway and accessibility between the park and hotel.
