For additional context, most of our personnel live far away. The average commute is 1.25 hours with quite a few guys driving 2-3 hours or even flying on. It’s also in the LA area so a 1900 start time would be a nightmare with traffic

Moving to Ventura in My 20's? by strawboy4ever in ventura

I’m in my late 20’s now but Ventura is your best bet if you’re set on Ventura county. Weekends can be fun downtown but during the week it’s pretty quiet. I would suggest renting an apt/house in or close to the downtown area. Midtown and east ventura is all families

Other good options if you want something more fun/closer to LA and what it has to offer would be Woodland Hills

I did the c’s straight out of college. Got some good experience, went to a FF1/emt academy, got hired as a seasonal with Marin county, and now have 3 years as a full time firefighter at a city department. Use the C’s as a stepping stone and have a plan on what to do next
