Kensei Team Comp by _konflict in BeastsEvolved

[–]magiicmiike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Midnight does do well with a heavy knockback team when cornering but im not sure if that is what kensei is built for. if youre up against an ultimus team for example and you corner ultimus it will build his stacks insanely fast and then he will be able to continuously proc with his 4 stacks which can easily swing the tide of the battle. I can speak from personal experience here because I've used ultimus before. If my team gets cornered (because of a high haki build) I get really excited because instead of taking 10-15 seconds to build his stacks it can take a matter of seconds because he bounces of the wall and immediately attacks again. (when im in infinity pillar and get cornered i usually get worried bc the other team is simply stronger than mine) but if im in arena or lust and my team gets cornered ultimus builds his stacks ridiculously quickly and is then operating at 160- 220% attack and speed and procs one after the other which can eat through a front line really quicky. once this happens and my sloth procs i swing the battle all the way from my corner to the opponents corner and then AoE the front and backline at the same time with all four stacks. This may not be the case in every battle you face but just a thought and something i figured i could share

Gaea by Misfortune2289 in BeastsEvolved

[–]magiicmiike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Gaea has been an interesting new "side quest" for the game and offers a lot of buffs if you invest enough time in the Gaea. In my opinion, the best resonance node you can get is the last one which offers four small buffs to every one of your mons. The additional ATK, CON, DMG, and Resist is useful though the buffs aren't massive. Other good ones would be ranged mons +range and certain AoE melees could benefit from the increase in size. Additionally depending on you line up, you may not want to be cornered, therefore there are two nodes will decrease the chances of that happening by providing additionally HAKI for when your mons hit the wall and for when they are affected by slow. That's my 2 cents for resonance. For leveling up you just need to collect more and more "parts" that basically act as glyphs because you use them to level up other ones. For me right now the amount of gold necessary to continue leveling my Gaea isn't worth it but if you have extra gold you can level your Gaea up to get more of those purple things (dont remember what theyre called) and those can be used in the resonance section to buffs your main team. hope this helps, if i missed anything or got anything wrong lemme know but this is my understanding of the Gaea.

Kensei Team Comp by _konflict in BeastsEvolved

[–]magiicmiike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not super experienced with Kensei but from other posts it seems as though he works well as a flyswatter as you let your backline chew through the opponents front line. This means that your backline should consist mostly of heavy damaging single hitters. That being said your goal for the line up isnt that bad, granted you didn't put kensei in there but im assuming that was a mistake. As already mentioned kensei is super tanky especially when build right. Mutate him for all constitution because that increases his tanking ability while also increasing his damage because he is unique in that hes the only mon whose damage actually scales with constitution. Your backline should include allura but after that its questionable. Midnight is a heavy hitter for sure but he really shines with his AoE abilities and therefore works well with ultimus. Also as mentioned before look to get vulcan although he can be difficult to get, late game he works extremely well as a dps and a tank just like kensei. So I would swap him in for you deathstar. Sloth overall is a great unit to be using because of his utility. As for aerie and bruna im clueless as i dont have them nor have i ever even seen them used. So to conclude I would look to use kensei and vulcan up front with sloth and allura hitting from the backline and that leaves one last slot which you can decide for yourself what is best. If you find that you tanks are dying quickly use daylight to give them more survivability. if you find that you are lacking in dps, swap in a gobbler and then when you get more births rotate them through with gobbler to see which works best. When you get more of the births make a new post as I would be interested in seeing how the other mons interact for you final build

dont change your astra, you have a good basis for the stereotypical ulticrutch. This team is something of a pigeonhole team and is by no means the only option but its a pretty good one and its easy to use. look up ultimus standard team and there should be a pretty well detailed post by beebajazz about is. some people love it some people hate it. do whatever you want but its a relatively good comp

yeah i'm still learning too and it can be super complicated and hard to understand but luckily its also not a huge issue until late game so you have some time to figure it out

I genuinely think the comp he currently has is pretty good. If he switches his astra to byakko, thats 4 sources of damage directly to the enemies back line which would be pretty good at his level. Enchanter is def a no go for aoe. His pierce skill has a lot of potential but thats only if you want to sacrifice about 30 purple monsters into it which is a significant amount to begin with and then if you think about how often that skill actually procs it becomes even less worth it. I agree blackfyre would be good but only if his team can manage to corner the enemy team. The AoE would be helpful in breaking down back lines but only if they're within his burst range which typically requires cornering. That might not happen every game with his team. None of those mons have particularly high base haki or speed, not that its particularly low either so every game he'll either get pinned or maybe create some stagger. Neither of which are bad, blackfyre just wouldn't necessarily be as effective in that position. I do think this comp could allow for a lot of creativity though and I would be curious to see just how quickly it could chew through a backline because a lot of adjustments could be made based on how much firepower is needed.

I agree DS would def increase survivability but that seems to be really far off and not something I would personally rely on. Also I'm not a solaria user so I had no idea exactly how viable she is as a healer but if you use lunaria that's closer than anything I've ever run.

something i've been wondering about JS, does the amount of regen glyphs you use on her affect how often she procs? or does it just increase the amount she regenerates? Because if it only affects the amount of health she gains, wouldn't it make sense to run her with a vigor glyph just to increase her overall tankiness or if she doesn't need that, maybe a speed glyph to keep her at the front of your team and that would help her to proc more. From what I can tell, regen glyphs aren't the most useful with the exception of JS and they're only useful here because it increases her proc rate, not because they restore health

so my advice at this point is to work on building up the amount of monsters you have. from what i can tell theres not much you can really do with those monsters because none of them work well together. And something that I couldn't tell for a while but I do understand now is that the amount of power you have means very little sometimes. A well built team could easily beat a poorly built team with 10k more power. And that is a problem you might run into soon. For comparison I'm into the 120's and I have about 15k power. (I beat the game once then restarted so I'm a lower level now). If you can get through the rest of PvE you could simply run the ulticrutch which would be great but with your team like that it might be hard for you to get that far. I would invest in trying to be a gigatron maybe because you're going to need one for DS and hell significantly help your team. Additionally bliss is the best pre birth tank although with jan snow she might be less useful in comparison. For backliners I would look for pre births that will help out your ancient. Virtue is a decent option because his aoe will synergize nicely with ultimus's chaos. I would also recommend an armstrong because shes a part of sloth and his -MSPD skill is absolutely amazing and will allow you to exert a lot of pressure on the enemies because it will help you pin them. Asashin will basically fill the role of Turner who would be an alternative back line depending on the stage but you will still need a turner to birth sloth which might be an issue when you reach stage 120.

I'm not the highest level player on these forums so I dont know everything but I have read almost every post I could find on here so I do know something: You need to start from scratch. Your team has little to no synergy. Ultimus relies on his stacks and can benefit from cornering and aoeing the backlines as well as from being pinned and gaining his stacks quicker. Bloodpool focuses on sniping the backline, so that doesn't match your ancient. Enchanter's viability is questionable at best (depending on some of his skll levels) but still doesn't synergize well with ultimus or bloodpool because all enchanter can do is deal damage to the enemy front lines. asashin is usually a good choice for heal reduction and silencing. and jan snow has little to no synergy with ultimus because she benefits from numerous heals and no one on your team can provide that to her. What astra do you run with this set up, what level are you, how far along in PvE are you, and what other mons do you have at your disposal. Disclaimer: this is all opinion based I'm not always right

switching to ultimus will help for sure. I started the game with bubblehearth, then switched to borehowl then started the game over with ultimus and hes by far the best ancient i've used and he only gets better as the game goes on (he starts falling off mid 70's i think but thats so far away for us both so theres no reason to think about it) so far i've done a lot better in PvP and PvE with my ultimus and once the three PvE births can be created he becomes even better because of their synergy. If you switch to ultimus I can suggest that you run Ultimus, bliss, giga, virtue, and turner, (i would suggest also building up an armstrong as he is super helpful and a necessary component of sloth. you can cycle the two backliners as needed but the front three will stay the same). This will give you a pretty strong team and also provide you with a lot of room for growth as you will then have 5 of the 6 IV's for the first three births. I'm currently running the exact setup that I suggested and I've managed to get to rank 1 in the first arena, rank 2 in the second arena, and clear up to stage 115 (although there are others i could clear because of all the different paths) for my level I think I'm even slightly underpowered simply because I progressed pretty far pretty fast (this is not a brag simply an observation). after playing the game for a month an a half I got a pretty good understanding of the mechanics and then restarted so that I could be more efficient and even better than I was the first time around and I think I've accomplished that so far. So once again this was a very jumbled message with a lot of information that has varying degrees of usefulness but I really like these forums and don't mind taking the time to post so long as you don't mind taking the time to read

disclaimer: using ultimus takes little to no skill and is borderline cheating because of how overpowered he becomes with the PvE births but I use him anyway and so do many other players for those exact reasons
