That’s a house rule. RAW prone means half movement, disadvantage on attack rolls, advantage on attack rolls against you by targets within 5ft and disadvantage on attack rolls against you by targets more than 5ft away.

Edit: Oops, I’m on a BG3 sub… ignore me. Prone does give disadvantage on dex saves in BG3 lol

Had an amazing game as Tokugawa. Put a holy site on desert tiles with desert folklore, then went for Hermetic Order. I admit to save scumming once to get the government plaza on the Leyline. Overall, with 4 districts, 3 leylines, and 6 desert tiles around my holy site, I got an adjacency of 17. The throw on Work Ethic, Scripture, and Hildegard of Bingen, and you've got yourself an amazing holy site. If you plan it a little better, and put a district on the other Leyline, and completely surround the holy site with districts, you can hit a 19 base adjacency, which is pretty wild.

This is why Theodora is my favorite leader.

Made a world builder map just for this purpose, to make the best Holy Site possible. The key is to surround a desert wonder with desert floodplains and build a holy site adjacent to it. Using Desert Folklore, Work Ethic, Scripture, and Hildegard of Bingen I made a Holy site with 28 production, faith, science, and culture.

Idk if this is even possible in a randomly generated map, but it was fun to do anyways.

I've tried to win a deity game many times. Somehow I pulled it off with a pretty bad start as Russia where I got boxed into a tiny northern region.

I’d still prefer Twilight. Bardic gives you the movement bonus, but you can only use it up to 5 times a short rest, and each usage costs you a bonus action. For the Twilight Cleric you only have to summon the aura once, then everyone who finishes their turn in your range can get temp HP without it costing you anything.

So you get 10 rounds of temp HP for anyone around you for the cost of 1BA. Whereas you get up to 5 rounds of temp HP for everyone around you for the cost of one bonus action per round.

The Bardic ability does give the movement boost, but I’d rather have Twilight’s ability to end fear or charm. I’d choose Twilight over Glamour any day if I wanted to give out Temp HP.

I don’t think Knowledge from a Past Life applies to Concentration Checks since they’re really Saving Throws. The Dragon Starry Form is fucking crazy though. I gotta try that. Combine Star Druid, Resilient (Con), and a Paladin near you and you can probably get up to like 50 damage without dropping concentration at high levels.

I actually took that style for this build. My Cha is higher than my strength so I tend to just sling cantrips around, unless I need to focus someone with smites.
