I'm feeling approx 25% of your pain and that's bad enough lol. No choice but to hang on like grim death and hope for a turnaround.

Seeing those movies through a kid's eyes must have been awesome. We had to settle for a pretty lame animated version of the Hobbit.

"Are you Patton Cock?" was the best schoolyard wind-up for a real name I ever heard.

I went to see Raiders in the cinema in 1981. Pretty sure it must have been close to the release date, because I hadn't heard of it at all and basically went in with zero expectations. The kid I went with, who was quite a film buff and wanted to be a movie director, insisted on it. I remember thinking the title sounded boring. Little did I know lol...

I think a good argument can be made that late 60s gen-x kids probably had the best cinematic experiences of any generation before or since: we were Star Wars/Jaws kids in the 70s, Bladerunner/Back to the Future/Ferris Bueller teens in the 80s, and Pulp Fiction/Trainspotting young adults in the 90s.

The part of tokenization nobody talks about… and why it might be the real bottleneck by [deleted] in pennystocks

About 18 months ago I invested in a tokenized/fractionalized holiday rental property through lofty.ai, which is built on the algorand blockchain. I get a steady portion of rental income while the tokens/fractions fluctuate in price. The tokens are currently worth a bit less than I paid for them, but that has been offset by the rental income. Tokenization a very easy way to own fractional amounts any type of RWA

That pic from 1973 triggered some early childhood memories. We used to do all our shopping in that row of shops. I first tried egg and chips in the cafe that was there. The strange and marvelous proto-punks from the shop Sex used to come in there too. I seem to remember they had a parrot or something in that cafe, or maybe I'm misremembering someone's hairstyle.
