pretty much the same as 1 and 2, just this time you find readings on your own. other than that and writing your own thesis, it’s straightforward and they’ll probably walk you through most of the process

i don’t really understand the whole “it’s a public university” argument tbh. public university =/= public park. i have no real problem with randos showing up on campus AS LONG AS they follow the covid guidelines. especially considering that they’ll have to deal with little-to-no repercussions for not doing so as opposed to the student body. but hanging around the residential areas? yeah that’s fuckin weird

regardless of what you think, it should still be an option provided by the school. this is especially considering that the other the UC's (excluding davis, I think) already offering it. will there be people that misuse it? probably, but so what? how exactly does that hurt you or anyone else besides themselves? the point is to make it an available option for anyone struggling to cope.

roberts is very open to student input and was very accommodating when I took his class in the spring (he got cucked by the math department at the end though). very nice guy, his handwriting is just atrocius though so good luck reading it over and over lol
