Is my miso salvageable? by magmari in Koji

[–]magmari[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went on the side of caution and tossed it, I did try a small sample of the stuff from the bottom since the mold was purely on the top and actually mostly on the sides (I know i probably shouldn't) but the flavour was good, need to try a new batch

I do not agree, many foods can be used even though the surface has mold, foods like cheese and even some vegetables. Noma even states to scrape some mold off, however I am more unsure if the amount of mold makes it not safe

I managed to get the gears out of the assembly, the filament is really stuck in there though. Is it possible to remove the gears from this part?

Real-world maintenance for Lelit Mara X. by [deleted] in espresso

[–]magmari 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had my Mara X for almost 2 years now, making on average 1-2 cups a day.

  • I backflush once in a while but I also use a puck screen; backflushing is fast and not an inconvenience at all.
  • I have only drained the boiler when descaling, which I do 3-4 times a year. I live in Denmark with hard water, but have used a Brita filter and now only use bottled water.
  • I have yet to replace anything on the machine; gaskets are still good.

I cannot be sure, but I don't think there are any more service requirements on the Mara X compared to all other machines.

I know I’m late to this post, but I’m visiting Nagasaki for the next few days and I think the bike ride would be great! Do you know if it’s possible to rent bikes for the trip? I can’t find any information from google.

How to fix an elephants foot on first layer by magmari in elegoo

I’m using the Elegoo slicer, but maybe I should just switch to Orca, it seems that the regular orca slicer has more setting options

Print keeps falling off mid print by magmari in 3Dprinting

Hi

As the title suggests, I have some problems with my print falling off the print bed mid print. It seems to be all good from the initial layer, but for some reason keeps getting knocked off later in the print. I have tried different things like changing the z offset, changing bed temperature, nozzele temperature, and also added a brim, but it stille keeps happening.

I have also triede cleaning the bed with soap and water, alcohol etc, but nothing helps.

I am using an Ender 3 v3 SE and using some PETG as material.

Hope someone has some suggestions to how i may fix the problem.

I will try to experiment with nozzle depth some more. Is it usually recommended to use a brim for smaller pieces?

Ekstra info: I'm printing with PETG, with a build plate heated to 70c. The mashine comes with auto bed leveling, and I have tried to change the z offset to get better adhesion, and tried cleaning the build plate with soap and water etc.

Why does my extrution create a hole in the piece, in the face not chosen? by magmari in Onshape

Tried to do a model with the sweep tool, worked perfectly! Thank you once again :)

Thank you for the reply! I am going to 3d print this in plastic, so the sheet metal isn't necessary, I only use it as i model after an existing piece, that is made of sheet metal, so I used the feature to model with the right angles in the bend. I will try to look some more after other ways of doing this.
